Justanotherdude Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 Women 20-30, your opinions? (The girl in question is 25, so I'd like to hear from someone her age) Flowers. Reserved for getting them from boyfriends only? Or if you got them from a guy you liked, who cares right? Obviously if you aren't into him, you'd think "Aw nice" but nothing will come of it but a simple thank you. Or would it creep you out? I have sent flowers in the past but only to make up for something I had done. (Not exactly the right way to go about it) Her birthday is coming up, good idea? We aren't dating. I'm just into her.
bobdole Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 Not a woman but just like to comment - I hate getting women flowers... I can't comprehend why women like them so much. They just die and turn ugly pretty shortly after getting them. I would much rather get something I could use or that would last. Chocolates or vacuum cleaner(haha jk) or something I can relate with. Silk roses I could understand... Anyways, how long have you been seeing her? If its more than 5 dates or so - I think flowers would be appropriate for a b-day. Nothing very extravagant or pricey though
Confusedalways Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 Personally *I* would like it. That being said I've found that there are a lot of girls who wouldn't like, some who wouldn't really care one way or another, and some who'd really like it. The problem is not knowing which she is. I'd definitely love a small arrangement to my work, but not roses. Something cute and fun If you're unsure, like really unsure, I'd just pass them up. It CAN be creepy to some women.
kalikula Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 Depends, most girls would love to get flowers for their birthday. Only creepy if really she doesn't like you, otherwise it's just a nice gesture... Maybe you could ask one of her friends?
TuesGirl Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 Depends, most girls would love to get flowers for their birthday. Only creepy if really she doesn't like you, otherwise it's just a nice gesture... MUST be hand delivered though to be most effective
that girl Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 I think it is a bit risky to send flowers to a woman you aren't dating. It could be sweet or it could put her off. Or she could just think you're a really great friend. Why not just ask her out? MUST be hand delivered though to be most effective I disagree with this one. Flowers delivered to work can really brighten a woman's day. She spends more time there at home plus she can show them off ("Look how awesome and caring my man is") I think there are two types of flowers you shouldn't send unless you know for a fact she really likes them (some women do love these flowers). First is red roses. They're the standard and they can seem like you didn't think at all about what she would like. Plus, they're really expensive. The second is carnations, which have a reputation as a cheap flower you could have picked up at a gas station.

Even if it was her birthday. Sends the message, "I like you" in my eyes...don't see how it could get confused any other way
