My girlfriend is going to university in september and will be over 250 miles away from me, or a 3 hour train journey..... she will be at uni for 2 months then have a 1 month holiday then back to uni for 2 months then 1 month holiday and it repeats like this.... while she is during term times we have agreed to see eachother every fortnight and communicate as much as possible. Can this work??

Most of the time it doesn't work, but I know a few couples who lasted all through college like this and are still together.
