I went to private school, plus I grew up in Cote St. Luc, which is an English speaking community west of the city. I'm in the states now, but yes I'm an Anglophone Quebecer. I dislike women of extreme weight sizes, skinny or fat, neither one is attractive. Above all else the women has to have a great personality with a lot of quirkiness without being a deranged lunatic and she has to have a brilliant sense of humour as well as seeing life in a similar scope that I do. All these criterias of "she must have blue eyes", "she must be such and such a race", "she must have a button nose" are irrelevant to me.

Eeyore79 Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 I'm attracted more to personality than looks. I like a guy who is extremely intelligent, a bit quiet and geeky, bookish and romantic. Your typical bespectacled nerd is extremely attractive! Obviously he has to have the basics too - kind and decent, calm tempered, doesn't take drugs or drink heavily, not greedy or materialistic, etc. He has to be a little old-fashioned and not too feminist - I want someone who will open doors for me and allow me to cook his dinners. In a physical sense, while I can be attracted to anyone if they have the right personality, my basic "type" has blue eyes and floppy light brown hair, and nice bone structure (i.e. defined cheekbones and chin). He's extremely tall and reasonably cuddly - definitely not skinny, in fact I'd prefer if he tended a little more towards being chubby. Ime the personality traits are harder to find than the physical ones, and it's extremely difficult to get everything all in one package.

If they're funny or artistically talented in some way (but never actually dated "artists"), that's a plus, too. They have to be happy people.

I think it's strange, or pardon my french, retarded. I don't know what it's like to be a woman ,but I've felt attracted to all kinds of women if they were mentally akin to me. On the other hand, women friend zone the guys who they are mentally akin with, even if their appearance is good enough or even great but they have brown eyes instead of blue or blonde hair instead of dark, or especially if they're under 6 feet tall. Women want to bang their "type" who is everyone's type anyway (there really isn't that much diversity in the kind of man women say is there type, atleast 90% have some variation of the same thing), while cursing forever good guys who are just not "HOT ENOUGH". I guess you can blame the obesity epidemic for this. This means that the 'TYPE" that women want which exists in relatively small percentages, has all these average and plain women as booty calls because of the shrinking pool of decent looking women, while 'average' guys who simply want some ok looking and satisfying female companionship are stuck...with nobody and lots of female friends (not me, but every other guy I know). Why settle, huh That isn't even true...Even in high school, the hottest girls don't "not date" guys if they dont have blue/brown eyes! Are you joking? :S And the height thing is only a problem if he's particularly short and she's particularly shallow. My dad's only 5'6, I'm 5'3, and trust me I'm cool with anyone my dad's height and above.

If he LOVES hockey well I don't care what he looks like, what his name is, where he came from, or why he exists. Unfortunately, I had to be one of 3 black girls in the world into hockey:rolleyes: and well, it is impossible to find other black guys into hockey--not like race matters to me but I live in a very urban city demographic wise. I honestly can't think of anything else aside from the fact that I love nerdy guys. I'm not picky, but the guys around here are. There is no love for the laid-back, sports-crazy bookworm chick:(. I'm not upset because I understand why guys at my age chase after a certain type. I'm obviously more fit for friendship and that is okay. I'll just get married to the game! PK is cool, and you guys had Georges Laraque for a while, not my favorite player but definitely my dream guy:(. Black hockey players/fans don't come from down South.
