raspy Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 Last Saturday my bf and I went clubbing so when we got home we were a little drunk. I told him I loved him and he said it to me too. But since then we haven't said it to each other. Been over a week. Should I come out and say it again. Should I wait for him?
Eeyore79 Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 I'd be inclined to broach the subject by saying something like "Listen... last week when you were drunk, you kinda said something. You said you loved me, and I really need to know if you just said it because you were drunk, or whether it's something serious that we need to talk about". Then the ball is in his court to say whether he meant it or not, and you haven't mentioned the fact that you said it too. If he says "Well you said it too!" you say "Yeah, I know I did, but I just wanted to get your take on the matter. Were you serious or not?" Keep bringing it back to him, until one way or another he tells you whether he meant it. Try to remain ambiguous about whether you meant it, so you don't look like an idiot if he says he didn't mean it.
a_woman Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 no, none of these things should be forced. drop it, spend time with him, enjoy his company and relax
Author raspy Posted August 15, 2010 Author Posted August 15, 2010 We've been dating for 6 months and made it official about 3 weeks ago. I really meant it when I said it.
alexlakeman Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 That's like pillow talk... it don't count, lol... Hell, if I got a woman in bed and am horny as he.ll, I might say I love you, but when I get out of bed or the buzz leaves, i'll be like "WTF, did I just tell her??" lol Sometimes you just say it to get into her pants

I'm sure you did but it's not something that needs to be said over and over again - unless you are both like that. you said it, he said it, fine. just enjoy eachothers company
