maria gostrey Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 what do guys think of short girls? are they considered attractive? i'm just curious because i fall into the short and petite category. i'm not at all a big amazon woman and while i grew up insecure about my small frame now i'm very appreciative of it.i think it is really cute and given certain situations extremely sexy. i am very attracted to tall guys so do tall guys like short girls?

In my experience there are plenty of men, tall short and medium, who like tall amazons and plenty of men, tall short and medium, who like petite women, and a lot of those guys would be down with both of us and everything in between. 1

It's not like male height where being shorter than average has no pros, and is considered to be the ugliest trait a man could possibly have. Well, that's not entirely true. While women's height is generally accorded less importance than a man's, a lot of men will rule out a woman if she is too tall, i.e. taller than him.

Dancing with my nose in his belly-button somehow killed the romance.... And it made kissing difficult in missionary... all I saw was his chest.... So it has its good side and bad side... My current partner is 5'8 and that's fine....

support Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 From my experience, I have physical compatibility issues in bed with taller girls:) I am 1.73m and dated a girl with the same height and wasnt feeling so comfortable during sex.. all the time. For me, I dont even consider taller than me, best height should be between 1.60m to 1.67m experiencewise. This is just about from physical point of view, from emotional point of view, I would love a girl who is 1.90 and it wouldn't bother me.

A lot of men love a shorter woman, without a doubt. Some do prefer extra tall, but that's another book of secrets.

The man that I have referenced here as being one of the most attractive men I have ever seen, is my height...5'5. I am not typically attracted to men mine height, but YOWZERS! He was the 2nd man my height that I have dated.

A short/petite women who is attracted to a tall guy...what a shock. The majority (not all) of the small build / petite women over the years I have known have gone for physically dominant (tall guys or mesomorph guys) or physiologically dominant guys (tough guys / bad boys). I think it’s part of their insecurity over their size, that’s why I think you still are to a degree. Short guys who have quizzed short women over this have told me they get …a narky response, I feel safer, or I feel more feminine reply. Personally I don’t mind short girls, I find them cute, though the ones I meet in their 30s do tend to have attitude. I think the vast majority of guys would not have any issues over a women’s small frame/height not nearly to the degree that your male equivalent would find it tough going.

(we were the most compatible in bed too). i'll never date anyone 6'5 again, bit too awkward for my taste. anyway in my experience guys don't really seem to mind either way as much, the ones that did, i was never that into anyway... if you go on the purse forum it seems all the women are obsessed with being tall, but i think thats because theyre all obsessed with models lol. but i have had guys occasionally be interested in me just because they're short and i'm short too, which is a big turnoff.. like dating me would make them feel taller or something... ugh! Kalikula You are a 5'1 girl that dates 6'5 guys. That means you were looking at his chest a lot or had to crane your neck. Looking back now you say it was a bit awkward but at the time you thought it was cute.....yet...a 5'6 guy who has a thing for you because you are physically in his realm is a big turnoff. A have heard and read on LS a number of girls that say dating big guys makes them feel more feminine (when petite girls who look like Jennifer Love Hewitt or Ellen Page say this, I think WTF), but for you when a short guy wants to date at his own end of the gene pool its nothing like cute its a case ugh or eeeeeewwwww. I find this just bizarre. Kind of like the short girl I knew who said she would never marry or have children with a short guy, because she wanted any sons she had to have better prospects. There’s logic to it but at the same time its also an argument that disappears up its own arse. Short guys posting on LS about it being tough out there is not just because they have a poor attitude, they have to deal with this type of stuff from girls at their end of the gene pool.

I just don't like it when a (short) guy seems to be interested in me purely because I'm *the* shortest... Like they just pick me out of the group solely based on that factor. Mostly talking about guys that try to get my number at a party or something. IMO.. As long as you're the same height as the girl (*if* that would bother you otherwise, sometimes people don't care) then just go after whoever you think is cutest, not based on who look best with you...) I don't really think her argument is that weird either.

Why do you short girls so often want tall guys? I mean, if you are 1,55 m why don't you be happy with a guy who is 1,70 m? No, you absolutely want one who is 1,85 m. Djeeezes, leave those guys to the taller girls... I am a woman of 1,70 m and as long as a guy is not smaller than I am, I have no problem with it. As a matter of fact, I know some relatively small guys with a nice athletic body and that is much better than a tall guy with a basketball belly.

I mean, I don't think they should exclude those guys just based on their height because you never know where you'll find love, but . . . . . seriously, having sex and crap must be really awkward. I've always loved that me and my boyfriend are about the same height. It's so easy to kiss him and do pretty much everything with him! I am 5'4" and it's not that I wouldn't date a guy over 6' tall, but it's not something I would seek after. I've read enough horror stories about the gymnastics gone wrong that people have gone through when they are very different heights than one another during sex, so I would never purposefully prefer that. XD
