Why is it?

Why is it some women in my life attempt to throw their emotional baggage upon me with their current boyfriend or Ex? This isn't the case with every female, but it seems some women just want to talk about their problems but yet never attempt to fix it.

 

For example: One of my girls that I met from college that I haven't seen in ages, that was pretty cool but we just manage to talk to each other through facebook now, messages me.

 

She says, Hey whats up

Me, nothing much

Me, What you been up to?

She says, nothing much...I'm moving.

Me, Oh really, where to?

She says, I don't know yet!!!

She says, Me and my boyfriend been having problems and he went on another date with another girl.

 

I'm thinking to myself, good god why did she have to bring that up randomly? I mean, I don't mind every once in a while giving advice to people I know closely, but why do some always insist on talking about their boyfriends problems? Especially, the ones that have so many problems but yet do nothing about it in the longrun.

 

I just logged off after that, but do you guys just simply change the topic quickly or what? or just walk away? I not going to be a emotional tampon.

Same here, they will try it on guys that think are nice and sweet. Change the subject as politely as possible. Most of them do not want help, they want to pour their crap on you and then walk away. If they are seeking help, help them. But if they just want to complain, change the subject. I have little sympathy for girls who always want to date losers, but never want to dump them.

I give them about 2 mins. of bitching then basically tell them if all they did was call me up to bitch I'm going to hang up & go watch TV or I say in a jokeing way that my cell battery is going dead & they should call me back next yr after it's recharged.

 

 

I didn't want to hear my stbxw rag on I sure don't want to hear someone not even sleeping with me complain.
