Leave lots of room for bend. The process I learned in MC pertained mostly to achieving clarity wrt our perspectives and better communicating them. Sounds like you're making progress here. That's a good thing. Essentially, when stbx and I came to have our 'final' talk, I told her is was essential that I have a partner who was 'connected' with me emotionally and shared and proactively sought sharing of our elemental feelings regardless of what life threw at us. She told me clearly, exactly, 'I can't give you that'. So, we divorced. Your path will be uniquely yours. Hope it works out
