LostInLA Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 Quick background on me: Went through a break up 8 months ago from a 10 year relationship (was engaged). Ok, so I've just been asked on my first date since my break up! I've been feeling a ton better and am pretty much over my break up, ever since about 2 weeks ago so going on a date seems fine. However part of me doesn't want to deal with dating quite yet, I want to just do my thing and have fun (not too much fun! ) Plus I'm not sure I'm that into this guy. But so far we have a lot in common and he's being respectful and courteous, which is really really nice. ACK!!!! I'm a little worried about what I'm getting myself into haha! I just don't want any complications or drama right now. lol Not sure how else to explain this but ya, I feel weird but not quite nervous (yet, who knows?). EEEEEEK!!!
Author LostInLA Posted December 6, 2009 Author Posted December 6, 2009 Ok I'm back home from the date. It was super low pressure, thank goodness. He didn't try anything, not even holding hands. However, he was very chivalrous, opening doors for me, the car door, etc. So, question is, do I call him to thank him soon (I thanked him at the end of the night and gave him a huge hug)? I'm probably going to see him out tomorrow night though as we frequent the same bars/venues. Just wondering if there is some protocol to this. Thank you!
