excess irony is something that can get your ass kicked under the wrong circumstances.

He should have some good reach though if he's 6'2. Was the other guy a bruiser or can this guy just not back it up?

No amount of easy pussy is worth it if you get your own ass beat.

If you were Nordic not Mediterranean I'd be really freaked out right now.

Too many identical responses in threads plus the NJ thing.

I'd wonder if I was hitting the sauce, making posts I don't remember under a different login.

You do know that Sean Connery, et al are real people, right? They are not fictional characters.

and you do know that these men are sexy because of the characters they play in movies, right? Afterall, Sean Connery is a fat old bearded geezer, is that your ideal of sexy?

Where I agree with the contents of the opening post, is that A LOT of men no longer live by a code of honour and integrity, as portrayed by old-time actors.

And this is actually why many young women today still think Sean Connery is f'n sexy - despite the fact that he's old and fat.

He's 6'2" but thin. The other guy was bigger.

Needless to say (and don't quote me on this) but I often find that the guys who most annoy other men are also the ones who land the hottest chicks.

"OK, now this is stupid. I can handle a world where I have to walk on eggshells around women who are terminally insecure for no particular reason no matter what their age, weight, height, hair color - you name it! But to live in a world where men are just the same, just as ridiculous? [...] No, I say! Absolutely not! Where is the silent heroism of the lonely male? Where are the Clint Eastwoods, the Steve McQueens, the Robert Mitchums of this world? Where are the men whose whole grooming regime consisted of nothing more than a **** and shave? I ask you, would Bogart give a toss about plastic surgery? Would John Wayne worry about sunscreen? Would Sean Connery think twice about a double chin? Never! I shudder to think what sort of pale, insipid existence we have to look forward to if we enter into that singular, unfortunately female state of mind that depends wholly on the approval of others before we can ever begin to see ourselves." - Kathleen Tessaro

Give me an old, fat guy who lives by a decent code of honour and has integrity, rather than some young sleazeball.

The topic is the feminization of men - not what type of men anyone in particular finds attractive.

When a man is unaffected, that's sexy to me.

I see it in so many different ways aesthetically (probably one reason I don't have a type).

I think it can only get feminized when it's deliberate and you can tell, they aren't being natural or themselves.

It's all down to attitude in the end for me.

You are talking about a Jame Bond movie, you do realize that correct? James Bond was the biggest douchebag that was ever created, all be it he was a suave and sophisticated heroic type douchebag, but he was a PLA-YAH nonetheless!

Yes James Spader is the wrong type of douche because his appearance is different to Sean Connery.

Wow! THAT's exactly the problem --> making irony your outfit, and by extension - your worldview. "Hey, I'm wearkig a cross, but I don't really mean it"; "Hey, I'm wearing an old world hat but I don't really mean it" ; etc.:sick:

I find it disgusting that not taking anything seriously (including yourself as evidenced by dress and attitudes toward others) have become the norm.

That's why the old world actors are so hot - they personify the era where men were somber, knew what were they doing, and most importantly - MEANT it (and dressed accordingly).

In the meantime, any "ironic" attitute or an outfit will get nothing but bashing from me .

And James Spader plays that role very well, so does Sean Connery.

He has multiple other roles. But yeah, the characters of the following crowd are much more appealing:

Humphrey Bogart

Jimmy Stewart

Cary Grant

That's where it's at. Sean Connery is an amateur next to those folks:)

I guess my point is that a hint of metrosexual douchiness can be attractive (to me and some other women), as in ONS material, if it's not meant in a serious way.

Somebody like James Spader is hot to me because he doesn't take himself seriously. He seems to be playing a cartoon of himself, and fully aware of it. Call it postmodern sleaze.

In contrast most douchey guys seem to believe their own BS.
