They have been replaced with the college fratboy, wannabe gangsta, and 'sensitive artistic guy' types. Men who are self sufficient, don't like complain or talk about their feelings , and don't run their mouths uncontrollably are not in vogue these days. You can blame the growing feminization of our society for this phenomenon.

Yes, and don't forget about the men with blowouts, as one poster kindly pointed out. Good God, not having to be faced with that every day was one of the best parts about getting the f out of New York.

That I preferred him in Secretary! :p:laugh:

LOL great reply

He wore a suit in that

Being an elitist hipster is more of an attitude than a style of dress.

Other benefits include attracting girls with daddy issues who want you to spank them :p.

Spankings are good for you.

No offense ladies but Spader is a sleazeball which drops his attractiveness, to below average.

how is he a sleazeball?

Also, I find his form of douchiness hot because it's so brazen and tongue in cheek. Douchiness is usually a major turn off, but works in certain men who have the right combination of personality traits. Not as boyfriend material, but hot ONS material.

Lol. You can call him ugly all you want, but he bedded every hot girl I knew at my school in a five mile radius! He came on to me once, but I'm not that easy. I still found him hot, though.

wow lol

He must have some personality

Your town had a dearth of barbers?

OK I'm more than surprised.... how would you rate this guy? he is way below average if you listen to me and nowhere near cute.... this guy gives a bad name to hipsters anywhere (if he is counted as one)

Yeah, his face is average objectively. I have weird taste in men. (or so it would seem utnil I find out a million other girls are crushing on the same dude.)

I can't explain his appeal to me. It's something about his eyes, and his sense of humor.

Nahh I totally believe that actually, but I won't lie, the malfitting sleeves and tiny little cross make me kind of want to fight him a little bit

Not in a bad way. He might be a cool dude

I think it would be healthy for both of us

What's the topic? where are all those fictional characters you listed in your OP? They are at the movie rental place near your place. You can have them in your own home for around $4.95 for three days, sometimes even a week.

Apparently guys from Brooklyn don't cut their hair.

The topic is the feminization of men - not what type of men anyone in particular finds attractive.

You do know that Sean Connery, et al are real people, right? They are not fictional characters.

Don't make it personal

I still remember my Greek Brooklyn barber from when I was five years old

"Daddy, why is he taking all my hair?!?!!"

He didn't really speak English very well

Nice guy though.

His mannerisms and his affected speech, do nothing for me beyond turn me off completely. He's manipulative in a self-serving way, but not bright enough to cover it. I wouldn't touch him with a ten foot pole.

Where I agree with the contents of the opening post, is that A LOT of men no longer live by a code of honour and integrity, as portrayed by old-time actors.

The cross is tongue in cheek, but he does seem to inspire hate in a lot of guys (I knew somebody who beat him up).

I totally get what you're saying, but I find his exaggerated sleaziness humorous and cute. Sort of like a b movie that's so bad it's good. But that's probably just me.

Excess irony is something that can get your ass kicked under the wrong circumstances.

He should have some good reach though if he's 6'2. Was the other guy a bruiser or can this guy just not back it up?
