Sharon1961 Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Guys, when you kiss a girl on, say, the cheek or hand are these kisses meant as preludes to a kiss on the lips or just to be sweet and romantic? Heard a conversation earlier. I think when a guy kisses you on the cheek or hand it's sweet, respectful, romantic. What type of gesture is it intended as usually? Curious. Thanks.
rateyes Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 respect, i guess show interest but not be to forward about it. or its just a straight up friendly gesture.
BookerT Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 If on the cheeks then could just be friendly, friends. or Interested but don't want to be too forward. If on the hand then usually interested, it's weird to kiss a friend's hand.

jerseyboy Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Kissing hand almost always means something. But I mean if he was comforting you for example, maybe not. I could see myself kissing a friends hand., top of head etc if she was going through a bad time, or in tears etc.
Author Sharon1961 Posted December 3, 2009 Author Posted December 3, 2009 For some reason, a kiss on the hand always makes me melt inside. Well, if it's done by someone I like. A kiss on the cheek doesn't leave me with that same feeling. I've been leaning towards what Booker said. It's weird to kiss a friend's hand. That does seem more romantic, signaling interest. Kiss on the forehead definitely feels protective.
