mortensorchid Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 Something rather strange happened to me yesterday. First we must go back a few weeks for the full story ... I was on Facebook many weeks ago, and see this man online who I mistakenly thought was a friend of a friend who is a fan of a favorite band of mine. I sent him an Instant Message thinking it was person A when it was actually person B. We got to talking, then he asked if he could give me a call sometime. Once we did speak on the phone, I apologized and told him of the mistaken identity situation. He said he hoped that it wouldn't stop me from still chatting with him, and I said he seemed nice enough and I would not be opposed to it. And that was that. He said he would call in a few days, and I didn't hear from him. I wrote it off as a one time occurance and went on my merry way. Then yesterday (Sunday), I get a text message from him after not hearing from him in weeks. He said he was in the neighborhood and did I want to take his dog for a walk in the park with him at the beach nearby? I said "Sure, what the heck" and went out to meet him. We spent about two hours on the beach, walking his dog, chatting about things, and it was all rather innocent. We got back to where we had parked the cars, and he asked if I wanted to continue walking on another trek of the beach, I said I was all walked out. He then told me that I had really pretty eyes, I said thank you. We hugged good-bye, then later that same day I got this email from him through Facebook: I had a great time talking & walking with you and would love to see you again ASAP! That made me feel good to know that I made an impression. So how long should I wait to respond? 48 hours? And who knows? Maybe he'll blow me off again and I won't hear from him for another few weeks, but the hope is there, isn't it?
