It's funny, I know there are some men that are turned off by tats on a woman, depending on it's location, or sometimes altogether.

But, I don't mind if it's a small one on the ankle, or some discreet small one that's covered up.

I think my main "location" of a tat that turns me off most is the tat above the boob...not sure why, but it's distracting for some reason. It just doesn't seem to be the proper spot for a tat.

Any guy here that finds CERTAIN tats unappealing depending on its location?

Tats in general are not a turnoff. Another guy's name tattooed on her body is.

I'm not a guy, but I'll say that the tribal/barbed wire armband tattoos are super douchey and cliched looking, and it's a huge turn-off.

In general I like tattoos.

i think one is ok, but it should only be noticeable when naked lol. it should be tiny too and not anyone's name or anything weird

I've said it once, so I'll so it again "gimme tattoos and black hair" the standard for what beauty is so...so... Standard and boring. Although putting someone's name is a bit of a turnoff (more for stupidity's sake).

I think 90% of the time tattoos on women look trashy. I would never get one.

The only exceptions are ones that are really artistic and tasteful and in the right place. But even then you wonder how they'll look once the woman ages.

I hate tramp stamps and ankle tattoos because they've become so cliche.

A few well-placed tattoos on a man can be hot. But more than 1-3 small ones is a turn off to me.

Does the Tramp Stamp represent the "Spot" or visual art a man can look at while....well...while he does his thing? lol

The other common name for it is C*m Target.

In general men think tattoos placed here are not sexy nor are they visually pleasing but slutty and oh so NOT cool.

Some men are in fact freaked out by my tattoos. Mostly b/c I don't seem like the type of person who would have one, much less two, much less the rather large one I have across my back. It is not a tramp stamp, it's way too big for that. It's a custom piece, and very awesome. When I'm 80 years old, I won't be able to see it anyway, so I really don't care what it looks like then. lol

The boob tat is tacky, IMO.

I guess if a man can't look past my tattoo to see how awesome I am, then he doesn't deserve me anyway!!

For those of you with tattoos, do you mention it to men you start dating, or let them figure it out once you get naked?

I don't plan on ever having a tattoo, but I don't mind if a girl has one as long as it's tasteful. It's really a case-by-case thing.

Whatever the size if it's across your lower back it's a tramp stamp.

If you drive out of the urban areas in Illinois out into the countryside the indigenous natives cover themselves in body pictures and piercings and paint themsleves blue before battle

Hmm...only part of it is actually on my lower back. lol

I'd jizz on a tram stamp any day ;)

The prblem is it looks great with low rise jeans, but not so great when completely nekkid

Since I have a few myself, I tend to like tattoos on a girl...location is irrelevant...except maybe the face...that'd be a little too strange for me...

I don't really mind the little tramp stamps. It's the 'artistic' ones are by far the worst because they are usually huge and ridiculous looking.

I was interested in a cute girl a while back, until she said "I need a belt for these pants" and unzipped them and showed me a tattoo across her pelvis that said "Serenity".

Some tattoos on girls look cool, other times they just make me run. Fast.

LOL one chick I hooked up with had a superman tat right above her coochie, because she was really into Bon Jovi growing up in NJ. He has that tat on his bicep.

Here's the tat in all its eighties glory:

(That's a bon jovi pic, BTW, not a pic of that girl, before anyone gets all scoldy)

That was pretty bad. Luckily she was absolutely gorgeous otherwise.

I have a dozen tats myself, and love them. But that was one was rough, I have to admit.

Yeah, if I see a woman say "I have 12 tats and 12 piercings" I move onto the next profile.

Why do women put dozens of tats n' crap on their bodies, esp, if they are hot?

That's like putting a crap load of bumper stickers all over a Mercedes.

In general I think tats are hot on women. I prefer one or two and kind of understated...but I know some women that are heavily illustrated and they pull it off well.

I usually run when I see an Asian character that would say "Peace", "Harmony" or "Serenity" on them.

That's fine, less competition for those of us who are not so squeamish.

Trust me, those hot chicks are not worried about whether you think they've ruined their "bumper" if they have dozens of them.

Ha! My tattoos are visible at all times, so that's not an issue. I am a very heavily tattooed woman -- full sleeves, full backpiece, chest piece that goes from armpit to armpit, two on my neck, both calves, a pinup girl that goes from just under my breast to just above my hipbone...let's see, I think that's all! People either love them or hate them, but overall the response I get is very positive. I find I'm a mirror for other people's fantasies -- almost every day a woman I meet randomly launches into a big long story of all the tattoos she WOULD get IF (and quite often the words that follow the "if" are "my boyfriend would LET me.") I hope I can always be the one who says to them, "It's your body, use it to live out your wildest dreams."

I have never for one second regretted having big tattoos. But there are certainly tattoos I think are awful -- most of them, actually. I HATE tramp stamps, armbands, shi*ty tribal, and pretty much anything you can get off a sheet of flash on the wall. My tattoo artists are just that -- artists. And my body is a painting. Some people collect art to hang on their walls, I take mine with me wherever I go. More bang for your buck, dontcha know.

Preach!! I had an eating disorder for 15 years, and my tattoos were instrumental in healing it. The way I see it, you can either have me joyful and tattooed, or miserable and anorexic. I'm gonna go with joyful, and look for the people who are open-minded and inquisitive enough to appreciate that.

Call me in 30 to 40 years, and tell me the same thing, lol.

I saw an attractive belly dancer at an event one time, but she had an overly large tat on her lower back, not just a small tramp stamp, but the thing must've took up her entire lower back, yikes! LOL

I am a bellydancer with a tattoo that takes up my entire back. I love being a woman brave enough to live in this skin and shimmy and undulate while showing it off.

In 30 to 40 years, I will look at my tattoos and remember the amazing life I've had and all the incredible people I've met because of them. I started getting tattooed at 23. Now, at 38, my body is quite different, but I've never regretted it for a second! I can't imagine that I will ever begin to -- when I look at my skin, I see the story of a life well lived. It's not about anyone else or whether or not they think it's "yikes"-inducing.
