....notwithstanding their socio-economic status.

Think about it - an average to attractive woman between the age of 18 and 35, whether poor or rich gets: free booze, free drugs, free VIP treatment at clubs, free backstage passes, free "A's" at school, job offers aplenty despite lack of skills, unlimited sex with whoever they want, hedonism galore, free housing, and the list goes on and on...

Now, if you went up to Paris Hilton in public, you would expect her to laugh in your face, right? So what do you expect when you go up to an average looking 25 year old woman, who has been treated like a 'mini-Paris Hilton' her whole life, to do when approached by an ugly to average looking guy? Makes better sense when you look at it that way, doesn't it?

I couldn't disagree more, who have you been dating?

As an average to attractive woman I also couldn't disagree more. I don't think most women in that category get the free ride you imagine, unless they're amazingly gorgeous.

As much as I'd love to agree with you, since I love free stuff as much as the next person, I can't say I've found these statements to be true. I consider myself an average to attractive female, I'm 22 years old, and while I do get offered a drink here and there at bars, I usually turn them down unless I am actually interested in the guy. And as for the rest, well, I've certainly never had someone say "hey pretty girl, want some free drugs?", and I probably wouldn't consider it a compliment if it did happen. I would be pretty weirded out. Certainly never got A's that I didn't deserve, which my mediocre transcripts would prove.

Clearly the important question is, as RobM said, who have you been dating?

Welcome to the forum "newbie". " 2 threads up and running already

I think you are right and wrong. You are exaggerating a bit, but it is true that women, unless really fat or really ugly, atleast where I live are treated like celebrities. All day long people vying for their attention, doing whatever in their power, even if all they're doing is grocery shopping. It's not only hard to "Stand out" in the crowd without being extremely good looking or rich, but also when you do manage to get one they're hard to keep around because the new flavor of the month is around the corner for women.

Yup, yup, it's all true, especially the free high marks in school, considering that the markers had no idea who we were. We got to them by sending our pics through a form of mind-to-mind communication. Man, were my grades top notch because of this skill!!

That pretty much sums it up.

Oh, I forgot to add that anything we couldn't get through our looks, we bought by using the free stuff we got from others. I love being a woman!

You're totally exaggerating.

I'm a 28 year old pretty girl. I get checked out in the streets, asked out by guys at the mall, or even the grocery store, or wherever.

BUT...I worked for my university degree, I worked to get my job. I pay my own rent and bills and when I go out, its not like I'm getting free drinks left right and center. I still pay for whatever drugs, maybe not as much as others, but still pay for it.

And...for the record. I have dated guys that weren't HOT or even that cute, its all about how they treated me.

P.s. Charm and confidence goes a LOOOOOONNNNG way!

It's true...I am now an wealthy drug mogul from dealing all of the free drugs given to me by men.

HAHA! I luv it! :D

OP, I think you need to meet more women aged 18 to 35. Talk to them. They'll tell you they don't have it that easy.

Oh, what a great idea! I've always flushed my free drugs but now, thanks to your suggestion, I'm going to sell them!! :bunny:

My free house is so full of free gifts, I don't know what to do with it all. Maybe I'll give them as bonuses to the junkies who buy from me, one-upping the other dealers! :)

Of course you do, since you can relate. What did you do with the Ferrari, that strange man gave you? If you're not going to drive it, I'll swap you a free 40 carat diamond ring, for the free F430. Deal?

There are some women that this applies to, but it's usually people who are so ridiculously attractive that they can live off of their looks (models, some actors). Attractive women in general may get a soft boost in the work place and at school, but nobody gets a free ride. Also, there's some reverse discrimination, if other women are jealous of an attractive girl or men resent her because they assume she'd reject them.

Dude. I'm getting screwed. Or living in the wrong part of the country, at least. Why the hell am I working my ass off when I could be getting all this **** for FREE? Damn. I need to move.

Posted

I'd love to move where the OP lives. The economy is so tight, with my look and top university degree and internship experience, I am still unemployed...I'm taking whatever chance I could have >.>

I would also like to add that I am dating (and very much in love with) a very average looking-guy with a crappy-paying job. And have no intention of leaving him for a better-looking, wealthier man.

You're on!! I'll bring the free Moet et Chandon and free food. If we leave the country, we won't get hassled by security, since I'll just wink at them and that will get us through quickly! Your passport won't even be necessary.

AWESOME!!! I guess all I need to do now is get my beauty-sleep!

Remember: dark eye circles = no freebies.

We simply can't risk it!

kiske, I love this thread. Thanks for posting it so we can discuss all the free stuff we get for being average to attractive women. Your insights are so very true about us. :)

I think a lot of you girls do get special treatment in society you just don't notice it because you've come to expect it. Wait until you get older and less good looking and you'll see it.

It's not your fault though. It's the fault of moron men who do it for you.

And please don't start about the average guys you are dating. Women have a very interesting definition of "average" or ugly men. Most women will call a relatively good looking guy with a great personality and a stable job "average".

Like what??? Please enlighten me by bringing sight to my eyes - because I'm totally missing something, here.
