I've had my hair a number of lengths, from this:

Interestingly enough, I got asked-out more by men my age AND women when I had the pixie (#1).

Personally, I enjoyed the bob (#2) the best--it was hot, made me feel more attractive, and showed off my neck and clavicle, which is my second favorite body-part.

However, I also miss having long hair (#3), because I feel as though it is more feminine. Right now my hair is more like this:

Every guy I've asked who has seen me in both long and short hair, still seems to prefer long hair. LOL, even one of my professors who overheard me talking about cutting my hair to one of the other girls in my department was like, "Don't do it. It looks better long." Hahaha...so as much as I prefer the bob, I'm going to keep growing it out. I can always cut it if I don't like it.

My goal is to get to this:

OP, in response to your situation: I say show him your picture and if he doesn't like your hair, too bad for him. You should wear your hair how you like it, and not depend upon or worry about what other people think. If he doesn't like you for you, then you ought not be interested in him.

Haha, I suppose that advice is contradicted my previous post, but you should do as I say and not as I do...:p

Haha, still most guys are definitely interested in long hair. Hahaha, one guy told me I was a 7.5 with long hair, a 6 with the bob. I'm not sure I trust his scale though, as there were women I thought were hot as hell who didn't even make it on his scale.

Regardless, hair does seem to play a role in the initial superficial attraction that men have for women.

I'm not sure if you've posted a photo--I should go back through your thread, but how long is your hair? About shoulder-length? Can you post a photo of something analogous? Like a celeb who has a similar hairstyle?

my hairstyle is not exactly like this, but in terms of length, mine is a little longer than hers. she is very pretty so i think she could be nearly bald and look fine. i actually think she looks good like this, but way better with longer hair if you ask me. second link is her in long hair

I prefer long hair but have dated many women with short hair. It's not a dealbreaker UNLESS she had long hair when I met her and decided to cut it short against my wishes.

Length of hair? Are you serious? I can't believe you're even asking this.

i have been talking to a guy online for a few days. during one of our chats, he briefly mentions he likes longer hair on a girl. this is before i showed him a picture of myself. my hair is not exactly long, but not extremely short. so now i'm thinking he will hesitate to meet me/date me because of my hair. is hair really that important to guys? i know it shouldn't matter too much, but every guy has preferences.

guys on here, tell me what you think. what length of hair do you like best? how important is it to you? would you not date a girl over her hair?

I like long hair best. Some girls look ok with short hair, but not my preference. My last gf had long hair, but cut it fairly short while we were dating. I did not like it, but i didn't stop dating her over it.
