I Can't Believe Match.com Has Given Me This Guy As A Match...

He is okay...I have seen better looking guys on the dating site. One of them being an 40ish Italian male model with a graduate degree. I understand the intimidation part though. That Italian man was so stunning that I couldn't help checking out/drooling over his profile, and when somehow we had a bit of communication (he contacted out of curiosity due to my trace of checking out his profile) I was speechless, hahaha. I believe he is happily with a fiancee now

 

There are some good looking men and women on online dating sites. Some of them are arrogant with an air of self-entitlement, the others with rather genuine reasons ("I cannot meet anyone in my field of profession"). They do get tons of attention for sure, but you never know what these hot people find attractive. Of course there is the question of "how come someone like you is on the dating site?!?!" Well, but some of the good looking people have hard time meeting new people too.

 

My current date is a pretty boy type (and a good guy), and when I first contacted him out of curiosity (had to do with something he wrote on his profile) I had zero expectation that he would respond, assuming he would have no problem finding women. Somehow things happened and we are happily dating- although he makes fun of me for being intimidated/having low self-esteem. Argh...

I meant how things can be so easily misunderstood when we try to communicate through the computer... including emails, texts etc... this thread is a perfect example!
