Jason moved to a new city and decided to join a class at his local college. It seemed like a fun class, a place to unwind, and blow off steam amongst peers.

Abby had been a fellow resident at the college for quite some time, and seemed interested in new comers…One day, Abby introduced herself to Jason, by sending him a note during class. She complimented him on many things, and at the end of the note, invited Jason out for a bite to eat. Jason was flattered. He thanked Abby for introducing herself, for her kind words and invitation, but declined.

The next day at class, Abby handed Jason a note. In the note, she told Jason that he was just like every other guy she knows who doesn’t like to eat …. Jason was mystified by the note, and wrote Abby some very strong words. Jason was also sympathetic, and told Abby not to worry about it.

Over the next few weeks, Abby would pass more notes to Jason during class. Funny notes, goofy notes… Jason always enjoyed laughter, and appreciated Abby’s great sense of humor... Abby was also very intelligent, which Jason admired. One day, Abby asked Jason to watch a video together during class. She had found some funny clips and said she wanted to share them with Jason...

At times, Abby would ask Jason questions during funny clip time, when Jason was distracted….

Abby then asked Jason for help with a family matter. Jason agreed to help during class, but as Jason was leaving, Abby asked if they could discuss the problem further, and that it would be easier to do so after class. As time went on, Abby and Jason seemed to have formed a mutual friendship. They talked about different general things they liked, places they would go on the weekends, and sometimes talked about their past and growing up. They both seemed to enjoy their new found friendship with one another.

Then one day, Jason met someone. Her name was Martha…

Jason told Abby about Martha, and Abby appeared happy for him, like any good friend naturally would. As time went on, Jason began spending more and more time with Martha. Abby told Jason not too long after, that she had met a boy named Ricky. Jason was estatic for Abby!

Some time had passed, and then one day, Jason didn’t come to class. Abby asked Jason why he didn’t show up to class? Jason told Abby that he and Martha had a disagreement.

As the semester was ending, Jason was preoccupied with thoughts of Martha. During class one day, Abby noticed that Jason was crying. Abby asked Jason why he was crying. Jason said he was upset over Martha. Abby tried to cheer Jason up, by telling her jokes and making her laugh. Then she mentioned to Jason, that she was planning on being in Jason’s neck of the woods after the semester ended, for a family event. She suggested it would be nice if the two of them finally went to eat, since she would be in the area…

Jason thought that would be nice too. He was meeting with friends that day, but invited Abby to come along. A few days passed, and Abby asked Jason for some places to stay that were nearby. Jason thought it was strange, that Abby wasn't staying with his family, but gave Abby some suggestions anyway. The next day, Abby asked Jason where they should go to eat, and asked Jason to pick her up from the bus stop.

It was now the last two weeks of class.

Jason did not come to class the first week. The last week, Jason returned to class. He told Abby that he would no longer be able to grab a bite to eat after the semester ended. Abby stormed off.

Jason apologized for not being able to grab a bite to eat with her, and wished Abby a good time visiting her family...Abby ignored Jason.

A few days later, Abby told Jason that his behavior was very rude towards her. Jason apologized, and then the two agreed to squash it. Soon after, Jason told Abby he had to get going. Abby asked Jason where he was going. Jason started crying. Abby asked Jason why he was crying, and Jason told him because he was upset over Martha. Abby quickly turned silent, and then after a short pause, laughed at Jason….

Jason said he would talk to her later and then hung up the phone. Over the next few days, Abby began sending notes to Jason. In the notes, she inquired asking where Jason was, who he was with, what he was doing, and when would he be back …In the last note, Abby wrote Jason a riddle. The words were scribbled and jumbled. With a few legible words mixed in...

At the end of the note, Abby mentioned to Jason that she was soon leaving for her trip, and that Jason should get ready….

A couple months passed, Abby sent Jason another note. Abby apologized to Jason, she missed talking to him, and hoped that the two could remain friends.

Jason finally responded, asking Abby not to contact him again.

What ended Jason & Abby's Friendship?

Abby's mental instability, compulsive lying, and stalkerish behavior? WTF is this?

Posted

They both sound annoying and disfunctional

Im guessing its a legal brief petitioning for forced sterilization of both

Abby is psycho and killed Martha and ended in jail..

Is this a trick question or something? I think the answer is that there never was a friendship.

This post was about Abby & Jason's friendship.

I realize you were just trying to be humorous, but those types of comments are not appreciated nor welcomed.

communication problems

not meeting each other's needs

Best case scenario: Meet the other person's needs without them even having to communiate it, or despite their protests.

Jason has trouble communicating and Abby thinks it is all about her. Jason is crazy about Marth and there seem to be problems in that relationship, assuming it is still 'on'.

Abby needs to read He's Just Not That Into You pronto.

what makes you think I am being humorous about murder? That is just not right. It is obvious Abby is a bit off....seeing her friend Jason suffer because of Martha might have been too much for her to bear?

simple answer to a complex dynamic.

They were never friends. Passing notes and chit chatting between classes doesn't qualify as friendship. The guy is hung up on his ex and the girl is a self centered biotch.

It's not a complex dynamic at all. The girl forced herself upon him when he wasn't interested, and actually was very lukewarm about their "friendship" the whole time. The guy only agreed to meet the girl for dinner after she pleaded with him to, knowing full well he would cancel on her (because he was never into her at all in the first place.)

Now they have been apart and he has pretty much forgotten about her, and she is pining for him.

She created a "friendship" with no reciprocation on his part. He was just responding to her forcing herself upon him, and he never wanted to be a part of her life in the first place. She was just some weird chick in his class he had no attraction to whatsoever, and had no interest in bringing into his life in any way, shape, or form.

Agree wholeheartedly with Pink Cupcakes.
