Katie94 Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 I have a teacher who is the cutest guy a person could possibly meet. He is so neat with his dress and grooming. He always wears a great after shave and is just totally neat.I have no intention of having anything going with his as he is almost double my age. I do not know his marital status and do not care as there will neve rbe anything else other than admiration for him. I work especially hard in his class as I do not want to disappoint him by doing less than the best. I make all A's in his science class but make B's and C's in everything else. I do not want to upset his career or anything like that. From my previous post you may know that I grew up without a mom and my dad is very dear to me. He shows me no extra attention but I am at the top of his class. Science is not my favorite class but he is my favorite teacher. He will never know the feelings I have for him. This is frustrating for me as I have high moral values which I cannot compromise.

Attraction to a man who you know you ought not be attracted to and who, more likely than not, nothing can ever happen with is a bitch. Professors/Teachers suck. They lure us in with their superior dress, wit, intellect, and charm and then leave us completely enamoured with nothing to show for it...take Sam_Spade for example... Haha, okay, well, maybe it's not that serious, but still: I'm sorry about the situation, as I can empathize. Just stick it out and hope you don't have any other classes with him. Look at it this way: at least you're getting an A in one of your classes!

What makes you think he cares if dont do well in his class? He has plenty of kids who get c's in his class and he could care less.

The danger with any pedestal-building here is that, in comparison, peer males will seem insignificant and boring by comparison, limiting growth of relationship skills and understanding. Remember, don't save all your smiles just for the science teacher

If I would drop his class as suggested i would get a failing grade. He is, at least by my estimation, a very great teacher. He gives me no more attention than he gives to others. Am i wrong to work harder for him because I admire him? I consider myself to be of high moral values but some have hinted that I am a predator and trying to trap him.

I dont see what the point is of doing better in his class just cuz you admire him, how bout doing better in your other classes because you admire yourself? You can swoon at him all you want.. Im pretty sure he woudnt act on you flirting with him. Get him coffee one day.

I guess some things never change..... Young ladies will always be enamored with their handsome, worldly teachers. I understand your feelings but only hurt can come out of this. If you plan to make a move on him...don't! Continue getting your A's and improving as a person. Enjoy your time with him. Who knows? Maybe a few years down the line you two will meet under better circumstances.... Weirder things have happened in this world...
