It wasn't my intention at all to discuss which race has the most attractive females. I know there are attractive women from all races and that my attraction to Asian women is just a personal preference. What I was more interested in was finding out how socially acceptable it would be to admit to this. Actually what I have found is pretty much what I would have suspected. Men and Asian women don't seem to have a problem with it. Non-Asian women and perhaps Asian men (not sure about that one) seem to have a problem with it. Since Asian women are the ones I am interested in, I guess this is not a big deal, although I know I will have to be careful what I say around my non-Asian women friends.

dave, I'm a non-Asian woman who isn't bothered by men or women having other racial preferences. People prefer what they prefer.

 

But I will say that if you're concerned about what's socially acceptable, I'm not certain if getting into an inter-racial relationship is for you.

Ive ended al contact with friends and colleagues who have just said theya re travelijng to Thailand or Cambodia for vacation, with no mention of the sex trade there.

 

Im sorry no one goes there without business interests to see the sites, and I wouldnt believe them even if they had business there.

Honestly, I am a non-Asian female and I have no reason to be upset by few random dudes on the internet preferring Asians. I have never had a male friend or a boyfriend who preferred Asians. In fact, it was the opposite, many said that they would never date an Asian female to the point of being racist. In my current group of guy friends, 9 in total - they never look twice at an Asian girl and they say that an average Asian girl tends to resemble a monkey lol.

 

You say you're not upset by random guys preferring Asian women, yet you then go on to spew out a bitter, racist diatribe against Asian women.

 

They don't ask to be raved about by random guys on the Internet. Why get so vitriolic about it? Or don't you recognise how vitriolic you're being?

I agree, with shadowplay about the stereotypes being discussed in this thread regarding Asian women and their beauty. Although I do sense shadow that you are a bit bitter, I know how it feels because as a black woman black men are always making the same blanket statements about all lightskin and mixed women

 

Anywho,in my area there are a lot of beauty supplies, and a lot of Asians are employed there. Also I see a lot of them where I go get my eyebrows waxed, and my toes and nails done. I just don't see the phenenomen that some of the men are talking about, they all aren't fit, and certainly all don't have this clear beautiful skin and great hair. They look like regular, everyday people to me, not ugly but not incredibly mindblowing beautiful. Not sayinig there aren't any Asians out there who look like that because surely tehy are but I thik these men must only be talking about the Asian supermodels they see in beauty pageants or magazines. Because the ones I see at college and at the beauty supply look like average people to me.

I'm originally from that part of the world, so I verify that it is true.

An average, even homely homely EE girl will pass for a smashing beauty in the US.

Not to mention that there are NO fat women in EE. I went to college with what I'm pretty sure was the only fat young woman in the entire country.

 

That said, I currently prefer asian girls, for obvious reasons (easier to find in the us than EE).

More generalizations. There are plenty of models from every part of the world. Whatever region, you name it, they have somebody from there working as a model. High fashion also loves African models as well

Sigh. I have never been in competition with an Asian woman. I have never gone out with anyoone who had relationships with Asian girls before me. There was never any competition.

Even though I'm not Asian, I like this thread because my best friend is Asian (Chinese descendant) American, and I think she's beautiful. But the stereotypes were wrong:

 

1.) We both get/have teenage acne- so no flawless skin. LOL

2.) I'm skinnier than her. She's muscular because she's a cross country athlete.

3.) We're equally demure/girly/feminine. But most people already have such a huge stereotype of the 'races' as which is feminine and which aren't that they wouldn't notice it in me until they kept up the conversation and got to know me better.

The whole stereotype about Asian women is why a lot of international relationships typically don't work out. One thing that non-Asians had better understand about their Asian female spouses is that they're anything but subservient. Men are expected to go out and pull in a paycheck, but it's the woman who decides how that paycheck is spent. If he goes out and buys a big screen television because he's at Wal-Mart and has an itch to spend, she's going to be f*cking livid and won't hesitate to put him in his place. And it'll be ugly. And Chuck Wagon won't see it coming.

 

No, that's precisely why white-asian relationships are more likely to work out. Let's not forget that there is this problem with asian men being a bit on the timid, non-assertive, emotionally distant side. However, pair a Big Bad Colonist with a ethnic sweetie and it's a heaven on earth .

E.g. you get her making all the decisions in the household (which I think is a great idea) and him not letting her give him shet for sensible, if somewhat pricy, hobbies .

Well the girl isnt of Spanish descent Tami. Filipinos are not ethnically Spanish. Im pretty sure they arent considered caucasion at all. They tend to look different than most East Asians though and maybe there was a lot of cross mixture with the Spaniards as the Spaniards seemed to like to mix it up a lot more than the English or the French

I am just trying to point out to other non-Asian women: white men having Asian fetishes is in fact quite rare in general population. Even OP was asking if this is "normal". I do not want non-Asian women getting down and thinking this happens often.

Are many Filipinos mixed in the same way many Cubans are mxed?

 

Id say 75% of Cubans are a mix of Spanish and African ancestry to some degree or another, so is it like that with the Filipinos?
