I have noticed that I only seem to be interested in dating Asian women. It's not that I don't find other women attractive, its just when it comes to actually wanting to be with someone I always find myself going for an asian woman without even thinking about it. I've dated 3 asian women in a row now, all amazing women, and the attraction just seems to grow stronger each time. I guess this is more of a comment than a question for anyone. Although I would be interested if any women find this creepy of not. I mean I have told a few of my guy friends but never any of my women friends.

I don't think it is creepy. You have a preference, and depending where you live and where you hang out you just might be around many Asian women in general.

 

Besides, Asian women are beautiful IMO.

I like all woman but my GF is Asian, and no, I don't think it's creepy. Asian chicks are beautiful.

Not saying its you, but whenever Ive found myself particularly attracted to "one race" or ethnicity it was because I was deep down sweating someone who fit the same bill. In other words a subconscious substitute

No it's not creepy. It's just your taste and your connection to women. SO what if they are Asian? As long as you're happy, then do what you are going to do! Don't worry about what anyone else thinks!

As for what I first notice about Asian women... its really hard to put my finger on it. They definitely tend to look more feminine, which I think is attractive. Plus they certainly age well. I recently dated an Asian woman who was in her mid-thirties (a little older than me) and a lot of people said she looked like she was 18.

 

I also think a big part of it is I am interested in people who are different than me. I have many friends who come from different parts of the world or are of a different race than myself, so I guess I just like having diversity like that in my life.

 

One other thing is that I would like to have a family some day and I hear asian-white couples have the best looking kids ;)

Its a little scary to think that young people (under 45 I consider young) have either been so brainwashed, or are so frightened of not being politically correct, that they question their own taste and preferences.

 

I wonder how many people deliberately choose to be with others just to appear main-stream or not-racist, or fit some socio-political pattern of acceptability. I'm not afraid to admit that I only dated white men. I don't consider that racist - I consider that my preference - my taste.

 

I don't think its the least bit creepy that you are attracted to Asian women. Appearance is one thing, but culture is something else and being attracted to a culture is important to know and understand too and helps build stronger relationships.

That's actually a good point. The thing is I have heard people talk about having an "asian fetish" as if it were such a bad thing to be attracted to asian women. I think when it comes to attraction, though, everyone just has their own personal preferences.

LOL..hey dave...thanks for the response. I am kind of glad you really do not have a specific thing that you are drawn to when it comes to Asian women. Makes me think you like the whole package (whatever that is :p). ..anyway....

 

From an Asian woman's point of view, I guess it is also creepy if you prefer Asian women because you believe in some stereotype-like, we are subservient, we are loyal, or that we all can contort our bodies(for sex) like the Chinese acrobats, etc.etc.-certainly, some of us are all that and then some of us are not even close to those stereotypes. I suspect some of our counterparts of the other races fit those stereotypes, too.

 

RE: the aging thing....I DO agree with you, that most Asian women age well...I am not sure why that is. Personally, it can be a blessing and a curse. In my line of work, people sometimes look at me like "uh-uh, she is NOT the person who is going to do this to me...is she?-she looks too young to even have graduated from college!"...it is a bit annoying, even frustrating... :(

It wasnt intended that way. I translate exotic as hot in my mind actually.

 

I dont think men, at least I dont, think of Asian American girls as that different from any other American girl really. Ive never really noticed a difference. Except perhaps coming in general from stronger family households than some others. Which is always attractive in anyone.

 

If some guy told me he was going to China to find a wife though Id think the same as you suggested.

But one stereotype I think I would have is "brighter/more intelligent" than most girls.

Yeah, I've definitely known enough Asian women to know they don't fit any one stereotype. I really don't know what it is that attracts me. I guess its like, why am I such a big hockey fan yet I almost never watch any other sport? Its just something that grew on me over time. Well that and the fact that I'm Canadian, lol.
