I made the first move - now what?

I met this guy at a party awhile back. I was really interested in him and I got the same vibe back from him, but I ended up having to leave really abruptly and there was no opportunity for an exchange of info.

 

I figured, just not meant to be, but I ran into him at another party last night. He remembered me, and details I told him about myself, and kept sort of teasing me and we talked a lot again. So when we had a minute alone at the end of the night, I gave him my number (mind you, he didn't ask, I just offered it).

 

I usually don't make the first move, mostly because I'm too nervous and I feel like if he was interested, he would ask, and I don't wanna make a fool of myself. But I managed to work up the nerve since it was probably my last shot. Anyway, within 5 minutes I got a text from him telling me how nice it was to see me again and suggesting we hang out sometime soon.

 

I'm asking because I don't have much experience in being the girl and making the first move - was he just being polite by taking my number/texting afterwards or was he actually interested? Could be useful info for future reference, lol.

Giving out your number is not a move. Taking his head in your hands and kissing him is a move. So relax. If he is interested he will call. Just don't make a mistake to start pretending disinterest - too late for that - you would come off as soft in the head/teenage player.
