glamgurl Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 What do you guys think of dating a coworker? Do you tell your other coworkers, especially if you only work with 15, 20 people? Or do you let them figure it out? And how much, if any PDA is appropriate? Any thoughts or past experiences you'd like to share would be very much appreciated. Thanks
hollister Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 trust me...they'll figure it out =) and i don't think any pda is appropriate in the workplace. altho i know it can be hard...but that's just my opinion...
Johnny M Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 And how much, if any PDA is appropriate? PDA at work = totally inappropriate and unprofessional.
Author glamgurl Posted November 15, 2009 Author Posted November 15, 2009 I guess I'm asking too, should you keep it a secret or not?
Citizen Erased Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 I wouldn't tell them anything but an office that small, they will figure it out eventually. No PDA at work, ever.
SoulSearch_CO Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 Whether or not to keep a secret about it has more to do with the office dynamics. If it's a tight-knit, friendly group, I'd have no problem being honest about it (but wouldn't go so far to make some announcement, or something - just wouldn't deny if someone asked). If it's a gossipy, immature group, I would probably keep it secret. As for PDA - absolutely zero is appropriate at the office.
BobSacamento Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 I think Michael Scott said it best: "I live by a motto, never mix business with pleasure......but I also live by another motto - Just Do It"
always_searching Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 Workplace romances are not a good idea, but if you are going to do it: (1) no PDA while at work and (2) don't tell your co-workers, even though they will probably figure it out on their own.
