After the date was over (which went well), I offered to give her a ride home and she declined again and took the subway! Is it because too many men can't be trusted these days? Too much independence? I always meet men at the date location for the first date or two, until I get a good sense of who they are and whether I feel safe/trust them. It's not so much a reflection of how trustworthy you are as much as it is just a reasonable safety precaution. Try not to take it personally. It's a very nice thing to offer.
