Eternal Sunshine
I got my period this morning and am retaining water. My face looks really s-tty. I got about 9 hours till the date. Any ideas? Is it even possible to get rid of water since it's obviously hormonal?
tman666
Dude... Anything that you would be able to do (if anything) to shed a bunch of water weight in 9 hours would probably leave you feeling foggy headed and possibly even sick. Are you sure that's how you want to approach your date? If he's any sort of guy you want to date at all, he'll likely not even notice. Plus, you're already pretty skinny, right? I can't imagine it's that noticeable. If anything, make sure your sodium and intake is low and your water intake is adequate. Other than that, I wouldn't recommend attempting anything drastic.

monicaelise
Caffeine, it's the old standby. Just don't drink so much you turn into a jittery freak. And, yes, it does work.

crude
Just tell him you're not looking your best because you're retaining water at the moment. If he's ok with you now, imagine how much he'll be looking forward to you looking even better. I always like to go with the honest approach.

Author Eternal Sunshine
I'm sure I read only yesterday that you were much happier being single? But anyway, good luck on the date! I am still happier single. That doesn't mean I can't casually date. Anyway, the date sucked. The guy sounded and looked too good to be true - he WAS. The biggest profile/personality mismatch I ever experienced on OLD.
sillyanswer
I am still happier single. That doesn't mean I can't casually date. Ahh, that works! Anyway, the date sucked. The guy sounded and looked too good to be true - he WAS. The biggest profile/personality mismatch I ever experienced on OLD. Oh no! Misleading profile? or just one of those things?
