Crazy Magnet Posted June 17, 2010 Share Posted June 17, 2010 There is a thread going about how long it takes before you know if you want to marry someone, but what about the non-marriage oriented crowd? Do you still wait a certain length of time and then "commit" for life? How long does it take for you to know that you want someone to be your life partner? Does anybody out there on LS actually have a life partner and not a husband/wife or know of a successful couple like this? For those who want a partner and not a marriage: Do you want the same partner your whole life or are you ok with having several successive long term relationships? aerogurl87 Posted June 17, 2010 Share Posted June 17, 2010 One of my mom's friends from high school has this life long boyfriend, whom she's been dating for the past 16 years or so. She actually wants to be married though, lol, but I guess she loves him so much that she finally came to the realization that it will never happen once their relationship reached a certain point.
