Grass is greener on the other side syndrome

How do you get over the "grass is always greener" mentality and just enjoy the present?

When i was with my LTR for almost 4 years, we broke up three times. Each time we broke up, we had gotten to a point in the relationship where i just wasn't happy and wanted more and wanted a chance to pursue something better. But when we would break things off, every time i would just really miss her and would only think of the good things about the relationship. How come it always feels like the grass is greener on the other side?

I'm dating some one else right now and i am trying to give her the attention and affection that she deserves, but sometimes its hard to cuz my interest in her has faded the more we've dated. When i wasn't with this girl i'm dating, i just wanted it so much more; but now that i "have" it, i'm just not as interested.

Why is that? How do i change?

You change by focusing on your issues your lack of excitement about the relationship within yourself.

You get bored easy, it's the issues within you. Not them.
