Theres a friend who I like and I message him usually just once a week but sometimes more. He answers sometimes but not others. I'm most likely over thinking this as we do see each other once a week at a social club we go to but We don't have long to chat between dances and I always think of things when I am home! Let him reach out to you for once...it may take three days or two weeks but it will come if he likes you. If he doesn't, then move on to the next one. He is not worth your time.
