Do your flirting very cautiously. If he's a VP he's acutely aware of the legal ramifications of getting involved with employees of the corporation. There are Federal laws regarding such as well as civil penalties for him if the two of you have a falling out and things cease to go your way at work.

Most company executives are required to attend seminars where they learn the legal and social consequences of getting involved with employees and co-workers.

Your best bet is to invite him to have lunch, dinner or whatever...away from the office. Have him meet you somewhere...rather than the two of you going in the same car.

If you sense he's receptive to dating you, then you can eventually discuss how the two of you can see each other away from the office...and sort of keep it private. A company VP will not want it to be public knowledge that he's seeing an employee.

Just be forewarned that this is NOT a good idea and if your dating experience should backfire it could make your work life very awkward. But there are lots of other jobs out there for you...so go for it.

Oh, yes, and make sure he's not married before you carry it too far. Having an affair with a married VP of your company could really be problematic.

Let us know how things go. Good luck!
