Improving my stubble, is there anything I can do?

I have no idea if this is the right forum

 

I'm 24 and have quite patchy facial hair. I want proper stubble It grows on my chin quite well but that's about it. I can get a very thin moustache and little below my sideburns but that's about it.

 

Is there any way I can encourage it to grow?

 

I'm bored of being clean shaven! I have been for 24 years.

Time is the only cure for that. As you grow older, your beard will fill in

I work with a guy like you, has to be clean shaven because he grows in sparse patches.

 

The bad news is... he's now 30 and it hasn't gotten any better

Well that sucks . I just hope it gets better. To be fair i developed late (didn't even really start shaving regularly until i was nearly 19!) it hasn't stopped growing so hopefully in a year or so it will be adequate.
