any ls'ers trying to loos weight?

Are any of you guys trying to loose weight in the New Year?

 

I thought maybe some of us could become diet & exercise buddies to keep each other motviated.

 

What do you think?

I lost almost 200 lbs a few years ago.

 

Got divorced. Best weight loss program ever :D!

I don't think my BF would allow that kind of exercise. Maybe on porn island.....

 

Slub 200 lbs really congrats, How'd you do it since I can't get divorced I'm not married :p

I don't want to lose any weight but I really want to get more toned. I'm petrified of osteoporosis, my mother is alreayd getting that hunched posture, that rounded back look.

 

Also, check this out. My older sister isn't fat, she's just kinda chubby, and she had her bloodwork done and her triglycerides (sp?) were through the roof!! She could have had a stroke. So she went on this diet for people with high cholesterol and she only lost like 20 lbs. or so, but her cholesterol is back to normal.

 

According to the doc, it's not just your body fat, but also genetics (and I have so many family members who have had strokes and heart attacks that it's not funny)....

 

So let me add that just because you're not OBESE doesn't mean you don't need to watch what you eat, when you eat, and how much you eat.

No not trying to lose weight but exercise everyday for being healthy.. I do Yoga ,pilates,aeorbics ,kick boxing and weights .. Sex burns alot of calories too !!

I'm in

 

going back on a pseudo-weigth watchers plan. Meaning I wont join, but will follow the points program and will walk about 4 days a week too.

 

Weigh-ins every monday?

 

I am currently at 196-200.

 

Goal is 175-180

How 'bout Wednesday weigh ins, since, well, today is Wednesday. Plus, Mondays are depressing enough. Anyway, I was at 144.6 this morning, and my goal is 125, but I really only have until early March , so maybe 130 is more realistic?

Wednesday is good too. Which ever you prefer. They say Wednesday is the best day of the week to start a diet.

I agree. Been trying to explain this to my wife. She has a very nice figure, but she wants to lose her tummy. Iwant her to keep it LOL.

 

Personally and she has heard this from other men, we like a little pooch tummy and hips :love: :love: :love:

I remember when I weighed 130, I didn't feel terribly skinny. My fiance has no problem expressing his concerns, so I'm sure he'll let me know if I'm getting to skinny. :bunny:

I'm in.:bunny: Right now I'm at 134 and want to get back to 122. I'm more concerned about my size though, I went from a 2/4 to a tight 6 and I want to get back to a loose 4 so that's more my goal than the number of pounds. My biggest problem is finding time to go to the gym after work so I'll be posting the days that I went to the gym and you guys will have to kick my butt if I don't go enough.

Holy liftin'!!! I should think 140 145 would be the UPPER limit - and that for someone 5'7" or over. I have a male friend who's 6'1" and HE's not even 173!!!

 

and the word is

 

LOSE

I am between 145-150 and I would like to be 130-135.

Don't worry about what other people think hotgurl. You can lose it and the rest of us will be here to support you while you're getting to your goal.

What are you talking about, mean? Tudor's saying to someone who wants to be 140 lbs that she should 'not lose the curves'???? Encouraging someone to stay unhealthily large is mean IMHO!!!

Outcast, you usually come across more understanding. That was so mean! When it comes to weight, those who are nice and slim love to attack those who are more overweight :rolleyes: Your male friend might be 6'1" and weigh less than 173 (too skinny for my taste), but women have more curves and if she feels sexy and healthy at 140 then that is a good enough goal for her to reach. If she makes the goal too difficult to reach, she might give up. Once she's at 140, if she still feels the need to lose weight then she could take another step from there, but lay off her!:p That's why I'm not going to post my weight because I don't want any words to weigh me down or make me lose my motivation.

 

Back to the weight loss. I've gone from eating in moderation, vegetables and salads, to a lot of junk food, pastas and exercising much less. The BC pill has made my appetite enormous and unfulfilled, it also makes me feel lathergic and I no longer exercise as much.

I lost 30 lbs since Sept. The best part is that went from a size 40 pant to a 34. It is amazing what happens with a little bit of personal stress, less crappy food in the diet and more exercise.

 

The easiest way I found was to simply cut sugars and wheat products out of your diet. Both of these are the main ingredient in just about everything bad for you. They also contribute to negative things like mood swings and body odor.

 

Cut these two things out of your diet and exercise and you are guaranteed to loose weight and feel much better.

 

The only downfall, I’ve spend over $250 at the tailors so far and had to buy all new casual clothes.
