It happened. I am 30 years old now.

I feel like it is right time to start to take a serious care of my skin. I tried some Mary Kay products today. Thought to ask your advice before I order some. What kind of products do you use to make your skin look younger and to fight blemishes?

Thank you

Don't drink, don't smoke, drink LOTS of water, and stay out of the sun. Always use a good moisturiser with a UV blocker.

Get slinky satin pillowcases. They don't grab at your skin while you sleep and stretch it.

I don't smoke or drink. I don’t even have wrinkles. Today the woman who did cosmetic trial on my face was surprised to know I am 30. I just feel it is time to stop taking thing for granted and treat my skin better. I know it is recommended to do it from age 24-25 but I haven’t done anything yet. The only problem I have with skin is that I get blackheads time by time and small white points. Nobody can notice it usually but I damage my skin trying to get them out.

This is helpful! Interesting I heard about silk pillowcases today from a specialist first time and you said the same. The problem is that I sleep on my face. And I grab my skin. :o

The satin pillowcase thing is a tip passed on from my grandmother. I slept with them, and I defnitely tell you it makes a big difference in the way it feels on your skin. I also sleep on my face :o More's the reason to get some satin pillowcases.

Anais,

you are very lucky to have such nice skin :)

Most important thing is what is mentioned above - avoid the sun - no sunbaking and always wear UV blocker even in winter or on cloudy days.

For the blackheads, use a clay mask once a week to clean out the pores and don't pick at those blemishes. Any brand will do as they all work pretty well - just get one to suit your skin type.

I also use a cleanser containing alpha hydroxy acids to help exfoliate the skin. My skin used to be flaky but now its super smooth. The product I use is MD formulations.

Take special care of the skin around the eyes - first part of the face to get wrinkles. It is very delicate area so don't stretch the skin too much with your fingers. Use special eyecream to keep it moist as this area is prone to dryness in most people as there are no oil glands there.
