Tired, Nauseous, Dizzy...

Recommended Posts

I have been feeling sick for a couple of days now. I have been feeling dizzy for a few weeks, and tired for about a week and now for the past two day's I have been feeling Nauseous. I have also had blurred vision for a few weeks (but I get dry eyes so I am not sure if these are associated).

I know I'm not pregnant because I am on birth control and I also started my period today.

Any one had this happen to them and what did you do. And yes, I will call my doctor if I am not better in a few day's.

if diabetes runs in your family, these could be symptoms of high/low blood sugar levels. Esp. the eye thing.

GO TO THE DOCTOR ASAP!

I think the eye thing is because I had Lasik about two years ago and since then my vision has been blurry because I get dry eyes from looking at the computer all day. But, better safe then sorry!

Jilly, I have been dieting, but eating around 1200 calories (no less), I eat okay, I could eat less processed foods. And I only drink water and seem to be drinking enough, I drink about 32oz at work and around 32oz at home.

I don't think Diabetes runs in my family, my neice has it (as of the past two years) but it runs on her dad's side. No one else in the family has it (aunts, grandparents, siblings). But Diabetes is not something to mess around with, so I better get to the doctors. I wonder if they will be open on Labor Day...

Buy some sinus medication (like Zyrtec) I bet that's what's wrong. I was dizzy, nauseous and tired. I swear I thought I had a tumor on my brain because of my vision. I saw a doctor and he said I had a bad sinus infection. That was the last thing on my mind. Hope that's all that's wrong with you.

Interesting, I have been having sore throat, but no sneezing or a runney nose. I have never had a sinus infection before...but it's something to consider.

Yes. I have some experience with those exact symptoms. I'd prefer not to discuss other than to say you really do need to go see your family doctor sooner than later.

I am fine and always was. My symptoms turned out to be nothing serious at all. But the reason I went to my doctor quickly was because I did recognized these symptoms as something that could have been more serious - Just go, and put your mind at ease.

Edit : What I meant to say was I had a good reason to believe it was something that needed to be discussed with a doctor.

Maybe all of that dieting and exercise pushed you to the edge, and a bug is pushing you over.

Who knows, maybe you passed your physical limit, and are experiencing a physical breakdown.

Hi All,

Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you.

WWIU, I live in CA.

Flesh, could be. I am feeling better now. I think it may have been a combanation of dieting and mentrating. I am doing much better now...I did eat about 300 more calories a day this weekend then I do during the week so I think that helped.

So, I have been posting on here a lot about my medical issues...and I think I finally figured out what it could be.

A few years ago I had an MRI and was diagnosed with a rare brain disorder called Arnold Chiari Malformation. It can cause symptoms and conditions from headaches/migrains, dizziness, fatigue, nausea, GERD, IBS, back & neck pain, and a tons more. I have been having all of these and think it might be related.

I found a forum for it and have been posting some infomration and reading other posts from people who have similar symptoms.

I have mixed feelings on if I want this to be the cause or not. On one hand I want a diagnosis and the other hand this condition is not curable and progressive. It required brain decompression sugery to aleviate symptoms somtimes multipule surgeries...

Anyways, I am going to schedule a follow up MRI (which I guess I am supposed to do every two years anyways) and I will see about going to a Nuerologist...

Wish me luck!!

damn, red, that's a pretty harsh array of symptoms to have to deal with, and I'm hoping it's something simpler in explanation. My sister has some freaky rare problem combined with gastric problems and arthritis, and this past spring she was a real mess, poor thing. I thought she was going to have to be hospitalized! Thank goodness, they got her meds straightened out, she got on probiotic pills and switched her diet around, which really helped, I think the stomach/gastric problems were the worst of them all, she dropped 40 pounds in a month!

I know you keep a good exercise/diet regimen, but maybe you also need to have the doctor test for diabetes. That can REALLY through a monkey wrench into good health when blood sugar levels fluctute.

thanks for keeping us posted, and let us know what you learn, okay?

Red, that was a pretty big disclosure to leave out! ;)

Sounds like that may be it - still worthwhile to get a good workup - maybe even a neurological consult?

QA, wow...40 lbs is a lot! I am glad your sister is startingt to feel better and I wish her the best!! And to you also! I go on Saturday to get my blodd sugar testes, I hope it's not Diabetes...

JB, haha...when the doctor told me about the diagnosis he said it wasn't much to worry about, but talking to other people it's so rare that you really have to see a specialist...so I am going to schedule an MRI and to see the nueologist.
