Who has gone for accupuncture and can tell me what to expect on the first visit? The H and I have an appt coming up this week..........our first one. I know this works on animals but I have never done it myself. (well I have accidently poked myself with needles but not on purpose) So what can I expect at the first needle fest? Thanks in advance! blind_otter Posted December 27, 2006 Share Posted December 27, 2006 When I did acupuncture I would get weird rushes of energy, like a wave of heat over one side of my body, or tingling sensations. But as long as you keep your eyes closed and don't look at all the needles, it's not so bad. Link to post Share on other sites
