Applied to be a phone sex girl

Recommended Posts

So in this current recession, everyone in my industry has been laid off.

So, I've applied at about a million local retail jobs, and despite having years of experience in retail and excellent references, no one has called. :(

The other night me and my bf were joking around and I said something about phone sex. He said, "Well, you'd be really good at it!" :lmao:

So I started looking into it. I applied at a couple of places locally. Funny enough, some places have ridiculous euphemisms for the job. "Adult Phone Actress", "Erotic Audio Entertainer".

I made sure my bf was okay with it, and it's strange too, because we're both totally opposed to porn/strippers/etc.

I guess the thing is that I'll be acting, not really wanting phone sex with the person. My bf acknowledged that he'd be uncomfortable with me doing cam shows etc. and truthfully, that sorta squicks me out too. We also agreed that phone sex with friends or whatever is definitely cheating. As long as it's sent in by my call center, and I get paid it's all cool.

I haven't got the job yet, but I'm pretty sure I'm a good candidate, as I'm experienced with self promotion and I'm not squeamish about any topics. It's funny, I'd MUCH rather do this than work retail. I can do this from home, have fun, get some hilarious stories to tell my friends and make cash at the same time.

So, any opinions, tips(Lizzie60?;)), ideas, recommendations, experiences?

wow good for you if you can do it. i can just imagine the sort of guys that actually pay money for this stuff

but anyways, its a job, and i suppose beggars can't be choosers in this economy. act away... maybe you can take some voice-over acting classes to boost your career :lmao:

oh lordy, I'd have to worry about laughing so hard that I'd pee all over myself, because I could never keep a straight face with sex-talk.

so ... my advice is to be able to keep yourself calm, centered and in the spirit of "things." Then you've got to share your experiences with us ;)

Hahaha, yeah if I get it, there will be stories galore on here! :lmao:

Voice classes is a cool idea. Hmm....

I can do the "sexy breathy voice", or "the innocent schoolgirl voice"... I can do a killer Scottish accent. LOL

The application forms are insane though. I felt so filthy writing stuff down for some of the questions. :lmao:

"Are there any fantasies you prefer or are particularly strong with on the phone?"

"Do you have any specialties ie. accents, particular experience with various fetishes?"

"Are you experienced at self promotion?"

(This is industry slang for making profiles on social networking sites and friending guys, messaging them, getting them interested, and then dropping the "Oh, it's a pay call". It's also going into online chats and being generally charming and suggestive, cybering with guys and then going, "Oh I want to hear your voice!") :D

Seriously, writing about my camwhore experiences and topless fetish club dancing is not something I've ever put on a job application before...

Hahaha, I know, eh?

There was some rational part in the back of my head screaming "This is a JOB APPLICATION, WOMAN!!! Don't tell them about that!!!!" :lmao:

And I had to keep telling it, "Um, I'm applying for a job where I'm going to be telling guys how bad I want their c*ck in my w*t p*ssy, I think they might need to know this." :o

I know someone who works in that industry. I am pretty open sexually and don't look down on that kind of work, but I would strongly caution against doing it. There is an element of self-respect you will lose by doing it, that you will never be able to regain. It also has a very strong chance of interfering with your relationship with your bf. And don't forget the salami effect - you will start out with rules and limits, and then the lure of $$$ will slowly erode them and your principles, and you may well be tempted to start doing cam shows, then maybe nudity etc. It could also seriously put you off men. And it's not exactly a marketable skill or something you would want on your CV.

Basically it is a mild version of becoming a hooker to pay the bills. Unless you are about to go out on the street due to lack of cash, there have to be better options for the long-term and your own sanity.

Hmmmmm..Well I am not a pro, but I've been told I'm very good at this..sort of comes natural to me. So, what I would suggest is try not to sound like your reading from a script. Make it sound very easy and natural. Use lot's of adjectives.. and speak soft and slow.;) Please let update us and let us know how it goes.

Do you have to go to an office and sit in a cubicle to do this or can you do this from home.......

What an awesome job if you can do it from home!

I had a friend that was paid to be a phone psychic...... she was as psychic as my refrigerator..... she was in a cubicle. that would suck.

Got a callback! I'd be doing it from home. Making "personal connections" in chatrooms and having a toll free number that routes to my phone. :D

Apparently I'm a shoo-in. I sounded exactly like the girl interviewing me. LOL It was like talking to myself.... :lmao:

You might want to consider that even though your boyfriend says he's okay with it, and maybe also _believes_ he is okay with it, when it actually happens he may not be so okay with it. People in general have a knack for thinking something will be fine until they experience it.

Then there's the next boyfriend after him, unless you keep it a secret. It seems like more trouble and risk than it's worth to me.

Have YOU called them back and followed up and let them know how interested you were in a job?

"Apparently I'm a shoo-in!"

That's great! I would imagine most people who apply probably are. Good luck! :)

Another point comes to mind. I would suggest before taking this job you cruise around LoveShack for a while and read some of the Porn threads. These are absolutely filled with women who feel very hurt at their man's porn habits, feeling that as a real woman they cannot possibly compete with an endless line of fantasy girls. There are wives considering leaving their husbands over it. It is a very big deal to them.

Ask yourself how these men got into porn in the first place and consider whether you really want to have a role in leading them in, especially by "self-promotion" among guys that aren't even looking for it. If these men end up getting into phone sex and/or porn and their women are hurt by it, you will be partly responsible.

good golly Scott........ Really?

Come on now. It is a job. And If she worked at a fast food joint is she responsible for obese people that eat too much too and croak from heart attacks.

People that own vineyards are responsible for alcoholics too?

Both death from high fat diets and alcohol can destroy a marriage.

Maybe some guys call and get turned on and pleasure their real women?

Pink keep us updated I so want to know how this works out..... man, how awesome, you could be cleaning and do things from home while making $$.

Wondering if I could do this while mowing my lawn? :lmao:

Yeah baby that is my vibrator you hear in the background..... yeah...... :lmao:

Lots of legit jobs can be done from home that make decent or even really good money. My sister has a from home job too, on the phone for a travel agency, setting up, and scheduling vacations and cruises for people, she has done this for about 2-3 years now. She sets her own hours pretty much as well. Gives her time to be able to do whatever from home, while making money.

Just like any thing that can be perceived as fun...once you do it for a living - it will never be fun again.

I'm not out to ban fast food, or alcohol, or even porn. I'm a believer in personal responsibility. It is noteworthy that we as a society DO ban many drugs as being too addictive to be safely sold. You are darn right I think a crack dealer is responsible if someone comes to harm from his product. So is porn like alcohol, crack, or somewhere in between? I would say somewhere between but no one can say where with certainty.

Now, maybe it's fair to say that a vineyard owner for example is not responsible if someone mis-uses his product.

However, doesn't his level of responsibility get somewhat larger if, instead of just owning the vineyard, the person is out on the street handing out free samples to any passerby? What if he goes to a place where depressed people hang out, pretends to be their friend, and gives them a free sample too, finally handing them cards showing how they can order more?

To my mind that brings the vineyard owner a fair amount of responsibility if something bad happens. It is completely equivalent to the "self-promotion" the OP talked about.

I still wouldn't want to outlaw this, but I would ask the vineyard owner if he has really thought through the whole chain of events here and if he is really sure he wants to be doing this. Has he visited the alcoholics in the hospital and understood that his product played some part in this, and really thought about it? Is he sure in his own heart that his product is one that can be safely used by the vast majority of people without harm, and is only a danger to a small minority with a vulnurability? Is he sure in his own heart that the benefits he brings to society outweigh the costs? All I'm saying is the OP should consider these questions and see both sides of the story before making this decision.

There are a lot more people posting on this website about how porn has hurt them then there are alcoholics talking about alcohol. Most of these are women who blame men's weakness for wanting to use porn, even while other women are out there pushing it.

I belive in responsibility too.

You should be responsible for your own choices and if you want to participate in sex chat you are responsible if it pisses off your spouse or your phone bill is $600 for the month.

There are lots of choices to make in life and each person should have the right to make those choices. And hell I wouldn't even know where to find free porn if it wasn't for a couple LS posters way back when. So LS made me look at free porn? It was promoted here....... but nobody made me look but me.

These are consenting adults in this situation. And heck some wives lose their mind if a ad for tanning lotion is on TV and shows a bikini clad chick.

Should that model feel guilty for her participation in hurting the wives feelings because of how her husband reacts to her?
