Charles Whitfield, MD. and author of Healing the child within..says that 95% of adult Americans did not receive the love, nurture, guidance necessary to form consistently healthy personal relationships and feel good about whome they truly are and what they are capable of .Consider then such adults subjected to traumatized by further emotional, physical and/or sexual abuse?

English Pediatrician Donal Winnicott described the innate emotions and perceptions we began our innocent child...True Self...having been stifled nearly from consciousness of being as a child..with taugh doubting, judgements, do and don't , controls, measures, anything but genuine expressions of emotions and the acceptance of them as worthy and gifts. Thus we begin the shame based, rationalizing, abstractions, and distractions to protect our vulnerable emotions from further hurt..not disclose..no be vulnerable..and afraid to show our true self because we might expose some inadequancy..source of shame..that which we can't do anything about..something missing..so we keep searching for something to cover that pain up..sex diversions?..

So is sexual experience part of emotional intelligence and actually be a path to cognitive behavioral healing of mind, body and spirit? or is it more apt to further the hiding and escaping our truths?

Deep question!

Anyone wanna write an essay that NOT spark a massive debate between feminists, religious folk, conservatives, liberals...

Good luck..I'm too tired to even try.
