Obviously you can't have NC when you have children. But you CAN decide NOT to have conversations with her about your relationship and the two of you. I agree, NC can apply as long as the contact is strictly about the kids and their well being and/or visitation. But don't use or let them use the children as an excuse to talk! NC can be modified!
