Tormented Posted July 1, 2007 Share Posted July 1, 2007 What is it with exes who suddenly show up from nowhere and attempt to make contact with you after not speaking to each other for months? Haven't seen or talked to my ex for 6 weeks or better when we decided to have our "closure" talk back in May. His parting shot to me during that talk was "I'm not done with this chapter yet." I thought that statement was odd at the time and just brushed it off as another "nice" way of saying goodbye. This past Thursday, he called my cell but didn't leave a message. Just hung up without saying anything. Why he did this remains a mystery. Wanted to make contact and lost his nerve? Wanted me to know he called in the hope that I'd call back? Hell...who knows but I find it strange. I've met somebody else and although it is in the "beginning stage," I find this guy interesting enough to explore the possibility of where it could go. So far, so good. Why is it that when we've moved on...TRULY moved on...the ex decided to pop back up in our life? He's GOT to know I'm gone for good, so why does he bother?
