Almost
Hey guys and gals, What do you think of this equation? X / 2 + 7 X being the man's age, and the result being the woman's age.
burning 4 revenge
yeah right. that would make a potential fiance 23 if i understand the math. so why would i feel more comfortable with someone
Blackfrost
huh? If I were ever to have a mistress, age would not be a factor in my decision. She would have to be someone who presented a uniquely different cerebral side to her personality, then what I already have around me. My mistress would be endlessly bored (if she expected sex) as I would most likely do nothing more then just talk for hours with her; as I find others perceptions on reality to be absolutely fascinating. Geisha's (the personification, not the race) would be the closest thing to a mistress that I would enjoy. They were once highly educated, and also very versed in art and music. Those qualities ring deeply with me.
stoopid_guy
Optimum age: Old enough to know better, young enough to do it anyway.

blind_otter
works for me. but i doubt it would work for everyone.
amaysngrace
I don't think so. I don't want some young dumb guy. I don't even want some young smart guy. With age comes wisdom you can't find in a book!

With age comes wisdom you can't find in a book! um, amay, the x value is the age of the man. Supposedly. Not the woman. That is the equation's result.
DeeBrod83
Well, I've actually had some experience with this, being the female end. Not really my thing.... but then again, it's the guys that usually want the younger women, not the younger women wanting the older men..... I say "POO" to your equation!!
TUDOR
That would leave me with a 22 year old....which is ok so long as she is a dirty little whore in bed with some experience and not a project I am going to have to train!
Author Almost
yeah right. that would make a potential fiance 23 if i understand the math. so why would i feel more comfortable with someone 43 ???? I don't see how you get 23 and 43 out of this equation. Take another look. If the woman is 23, that would make the man 32 or 33. If the man is 43, that would make the woman 28. amaysngrace
um, amay, the x value is the age of the man. Supposedly. Not the woman. That is the equation's result. I don't get it. My guy is 36 and he's yummy. So what are you sayin? I should trade him in for a 18 + 7 = 25 year old? Nope...rather not. Or should he be the one trading me in? PS Math never was my strong suit...nor was reading comprehension.

Again, the equation for a man is: (man's age)/2 -7 = (woman's age) The reverse equation for women would be: (woman's age) -7 * 2 = (man's age)
Adunaphel
Hey, the guy who came up with this theory is a mathematician. Never, ever trust people who do it in groups, without limit, with odd functions and to prove themselves.

serial muse
actually, the reverse equation would be (woman's age) + 7 *2 = man's age Correct me if I'm wrong. you're right. Never, ever trust people who do it in groups, without limit, with odd functions and to prove themselves. hee! i don't like this equation because it has me dating a guy in his mid-50s. the whole premise makes no sense to me. frankly, i'd like to find a guy who is close to me in age (or at least in state of mind) - as in, plus/minus five years or so. i'm fairly immature in some ways for my age - or rather, i'm about where guys in their mid-30s stereotypically are - and although i've dated guys in their 40s, they tend to be a bit "settled" already - too soon for me. so i highly doubt a 55-year-old man and I will have much in common. but i suppose it's possible (and equally possible that the love of my life is 22!!) Author Almost
actually, the reverse equation would be (woman's age) + 7 *2 = man's age Correct me if I'm wrong. Oops sorry, your kind of right but still wrong. The original equation for a man is actually: (man's age)/2 + 7 = (woman's age) The so the equation for a woman should be: (woman's age) - 7 *2 = (man's age) So for a man, you divide your age by two and then add seven years. For a woman, you subtract 7 years from your age, then multiply by two.
Author Almost
I'm a 39 year old guy, so according to this formula, my next girlfriend should be 26 years old. I have no problem with that! Although I would agree that's probably a little young for me and probably the lower age limit for me rather than the "optimum." I think the ideal age for me would be a around 30 or in her early 30's.
norajane
So at 38, I'm supposed to be with a man who's 62? Nope! I'm at my sexual peak, dammit!!
JamesM
If my next gf or mistress is 28 that would be just a little too young. My preference has always been about 32. And that was when I was younger than 32. No kidding. Something about women in their 30s has always stuck with me. So, I guess I had better wait a couple of years before trading in my wife. lighthouse
CONFUSED.. I am 30. So I am supposed to date people who are 30-7 (23*2) = 46. Or I am supposed to date 37*2 = 64!!!!!!!!!!!!! You have got to be kidding me. Damn those 7 years really add a lot of years to a guy don't they? I am not dating a 64 year old. I am not Anna Nicole Smith. I don't even want to date a 46 year old. Men confuse me - especially ones that are good at math. LH
Author Almost
Zsa Zsa said that a young woman should marry a man who is in his 40s. He will die when she is in her 40s. She, then at her sexual peak, should marry a man who is 18, now at his sexual peak. She will die when he is in his 40s. He should then marry a girl who is 18. She said that everyone gets his/her ya-yas out, and that no one will fight over money.
TheDiva
I am the optimum age for my husband. So this is good news right?
lighthouse
Almost - It is ok when Zsa Zsa says that but it is not OK when a man (mathmatician or not) says it. Double standard but true. LH
