Is it normal to feel this way

I'm not sure what's gotten into me lately. I have absolutely no desire to talk, date or be intimate with any guys. I don't even want to look at them hahaha! I'm just not sure if this is normal as I've always been looking for someone and in such a rush to find someone. Now I just really don't care anymore and much rather enjoy my own company. I have had quite a few poor relationships in the past few years with guys leading me into the thought that they wanted a relationship but then just using me for sex and also just being in relationships where I was constantly ignored and had my feelings belittled. I'm not sure if that's why I feel this way ? Maybe this is just a normal process of growing , anyone else ever feel this way ? Should I just stop resisting these feelings and ride the waves of freedom and independence?

Cookie,

Should I just stop resisting these feelings and ride the waves of freedom and independence?

Absolutely !

This happened to me for about 3 years (after years of OLD and unsuccessful dating) and then hey, guess what? I then met my second husband, and the rest is history, as they say :)

Go with it !

It's far healthier than those who use dating to heal from heartbreak, that's for sure! It's healthier than those who cram in multiple dates per week because they are suffering from FOMO.

This is you discovering what it's like to simply be happy with yourself and not *needing* another person.

Mind you, the fact that you're being happy with yourself and enjoying singledom probably raises the chances of you finding a good partner. This is exactly that emotional place to aim for when people say "stop looking" and let love come to you.

I'm there too, sister. It comes from having too many bad experiences dating/relationships . You associate negative experiences with something, you no longer want to do it. You get burnout and give up

Feelings are neither abnormal or normal. They just are. Go with it. You probably just need some time to yourself. Enjoy!

It also comes from just maturing and finding your own path and having your own accomplishments in everyday life, which builds your self-esteem and makes you expect better treatment.
