Hey kings and queens ! I really want help .

I think I passed down my mom ways . Sometimes I have full blown conversations with myself it's gotten worse , my grandma ( adoptive grandmother ) use to do it , like say if I'm alone that's when it happens

( please don't judge me )

- I'm very over dramatic and overact I had friends tell me they waited so long to tell me certain things cause I overreact

- my attitude can get the best of me . I admire this one girl I know of , every time I mean every time I see her she's always smiling , and so sweet and positive how can I get like this ?

I'm tired of pushing people away

Now before y'all say go to doctor and get counseling I already have this listed down just was wondering any tips .?

I have conversations with myself, because I live alone and have for most of my life, and I also talk to my dogs. I am going to assume you are afraid it is some disorder, and maybe it is, but maybe you truly did just pick that habit up from your family. Like my family would interrupt you while talking, and talk right over you. I still have to consciously think about it not to do that myself to others and sometimes I still do it. But I am not nearly as bad as I used to be when younger.

Since you're having trouble with saying things your friends are finding offensive, I think the best exercise you could do is make yourself count to 5 or 10 and think about what you're going to say and run it through your mind before you say it. In fact, with good friends, you can even tell them "This is what I'm doing now to break my bad habit."

Always ask yourself if this is something you would appreciate someone else saying to you, and don't use excuses like "but it's true." We have to have a filter to keep from hurting feelings and making people mad. Even if it is true, ask yourself, "If she said this to me, would I appreciate it?" If not, don't say it.

So try thinking it through before you answer someone. If liquor plays any part in your control over yourself, then you should probably stop drinking. Liquor can make our bad habits worse and definitely erodes our filter.

Good luck. It wouldn't hurt to get some testing done just to see if it's something specific you're dealing with.
