A mutual friend asked me the next day if it was ok for him to have my number. I said yes. I really wasn't interested at the time, but we met up later that evening for drinks and it just kinda took off from there. In retrospect, I wish I hadn't said yes to giving him my number at all. One night a cute girl was watching me work (that happened often enough) and I flirted a little. She came back a few minutes later and I flirted some more. She came back a few minutes later and I asked her if she'd like to have some tea when I got done working. Yep. We've been together almost every day for 3 1/2 years now Funny thing is, she doesn't drink either, but was with her family (it was Christmas Eve), and says she just kept coming back to see me work, but really wasn't thinking of picking me up. jen1447 Posted June 13, 2015 Share Posted June 13, 2015 Saw her at a restaurant (this was just recently) and was instantly infatuated, um ....found out her number somehow, blindly called her totally cold and got a date (she remembered me from the restaurant - there were a couple heavy looks exchanged), and now the rest is history. :love: She's amazeballs. It's interesting that's she's the only woman who's actually knocked me off my 'game' in a very long while so that I couldn't get my sh*t together enough to approach her (tho that would have been difficult anyway) when I actually saw her at the restaurant. I noticed this guy who was southern and looked like he had a military past. Which he did and I was right. He and his group of friends kept me company until my friends showed up. One of his friends was my ex. My ex's best friend is a typical bachelor type. Before I left I got his number. We ended up running into each other at another bar. Ex's best friend and I flirted while we played pool. His friends (my ex were getting a kick out of it the whole time). A couple dates later I found out my ex's best friend wasn't worth it with him being a bachelor. I actually added my ex on facebook. Told him I had fun that night and that I remembered him. We both thought each other were cute...fast forward to spring break at the beach. We had sex and broke the bed so we became Facebook official. Even he did the magic mike military dance since he was in the guard. How could I say no to that? Part of me feels like I'm trying to find another guy like my ex. newmoon Posted June 14, 2015 Share Posted June 14, 2015 we met at work, worked together 3 years and he constantly pursued me, but i will not date a co-worker (after having a former bad experience). i agreed to think about it after leaving the job, so he waited patiently for 3 years until i promoted elsewhere in the company. we still work int he same company, but in very different offices and capacities. just the fact that someone pursued me vigilantly for that long and with so many rejections was extremely impressive, lol Link to post Share on other sites
