Asked someone out for the first time in years

Recommended Posts

6-7 years to be exact? It was scary as hell (>_<). Still is. I never do because I know/have a feeling the answer is no and I'm usually right. I just decided to take the plunge with this one. Now I'm just waiting for a response. We've been talking for a couple of days and I asked him when I'm in town if we could just hang out as friends (to get to know each other). I initiated, which is also something I never do. So cheers to him either ignoring the message or him saying no. (-_-)

So pessimistic...be positive! That's a great step!

If he declines who cares? You're no worse off than you were. Only upside is possible. Celebrate!

Why would you tell him "just friends" when that's not what you want at all? Now even if he wanted more, he'd assume you do not.

Because from what I've seen I don't think he's interested in a relationship. I'm fine with starting things out as friends and seeing where it goes from there. I think that can be clarified when we see each other. Oh yeah, he said absolutely. I was very shocked, lol.

devilish innocent

I'm glad he said yes. This is why taking risks with showing interest in somebody can be worth it. Sometimes it does pay off. I hope things go well when you see each other.

So, I'm sort of stuck at the moment. I've met him from an OLD and due to family emergency won't be able to see him for two weeks of which I exclaimed. I was wondering how I fill in the time? I asked him if he wanted my digits for later and have no idea if that was good move or not as he hasn't responded. This is just new to me so I'm confused on what to exactly do now..

They deactivated the account out of the blue so I guess nothing is going to happen now...at least I tried, right? =/

Yep.

If any woman tells me anything with 'just friends' as accompanying words, then I will assume we are just friends and nothing more.
