Personal Connection

Recommended Posts

I think that person connection no matter how the other person is trumps everything.

Romance/Friendship/Married/Single/Ethnicity/Age.

Who do you find that you are personally connected to? I see so many people on here fretting about friends, including myself. I don't know why we have at least 10 friends or so. Three of them are on the outs and its a big deal.

Why can't the 7 we get along with drown out the 3 that we should just let go of/put on the back burner. The 3 that are on my mind that I feel negative about. Its not like if I stooped calling them, I would run into them any time soon.

Anyways. With the people you are cool with/get along with. What do you think is your personal connection with them. For me. The more warm and personable we are and share our inner thoughts/emotions about what is going on with each other. The better it is for me to feel connected. The more we are surface level the less close I feel to the person.

I cant explain it, there is no particular criteria for who I will or wont connect with. I just need to feel comfortable and at ease to be myself around them. We just "click"

I connect best with those with a similar sense of humor.

Growing up, joking around and hard work were the cornerstones of my family.

It's no surprise that my social circle is largely comprised of enterprising First Gens who lean toward the irreverent.

Lots of empaths and outdoorsy animal-lovers, too.

I like them. :-)

I definitely agree that a connection trumps it all. If the friendship/relationship is based on nothing more than surface stuff it can't grow. It just stays where it is and ends up being just an aquaintance type friendship. That can be frustrating if one person only wants a surface relationship and the other needs to find a common ground to feel connected. It creates an imbalance.
