mishy Posted July 29, 2014 Share Posted July 29, 2014 So this afternoon I was at the local hardware gardening chain store here and I was looking around the plant section when this guy who was working there pulled me up and asked me if I needed any help and also asked what I had bought. We started chatting about plants, turns out he was a landscape gardener and had just moved here and was in training at the store. Anyway eventually we stopped chatting and he went off to do other things. Later on about 20 minutes I was still there and he saw me again and asked me how I was going and what plants I was buying. Started chatting again about plants and other stuff for ages, and he said hey you should bring in photos of your garden and show me. I said but you told me you will be working at the other store after training. He said yeah come out there and see me, that would be good. (The other store is quite a few suburbs away.) I felt a vibe with this guy but at the same time if I actually do go to the other store it will feel like I am stalking him! Even though he said to go. I mean I wouldn't go all the way out there when the same shop is closer to my home. It's a chain store they are pretty much the same. Was it in my imagination that there was interest between us or was it just 'customer service' .? Link to post Share on other sites

I had an experience like this a few months ago when I was buying jeans and the girl selling them was being overly nice and although I figured it might just be because she worked on commission, I took a shot and asked her out. It worked. There was this awkward gap/silence for a minute where I thought yeah that's where one of us should have asked the other out. He said though that he will be back at that store on Friday, so I will engineer a purchase that I have to make. SO i am going out to the same store RIGHT NOW! lol as i think he said he would be there today. In the end the running joke was I had bought a mountain of cat litter witch well I had! he finally asked me how many cats I really had and we hit it off from there ended up being together for years never know OP I say go with it cant hurt..
