Other Than Work...

Recommended Posts

I've made it a big point in my life lately to be more a more outgoing, fun, and overall attractive person especially around girls/women. I've done a lot of learning and studying and I've been happy with the results but right now I work full-time. I will be going to college in fall but now all I do is work. I do a very good job at work but I'm also social. But due to the nature of my job, it seems that most the time I'd like to get a girls number and/or ask a girl to do something, the job gets in the way. Something will come up, my boss will show up, her boss will show up, and many other things. I don't work in an office all the time either, I work in a very large place where many people often come and go, almost like a school.

Overall, I'm starting to feel not that I should avoid women at work but that I need to look elsewhere more. What's happening with me is that I've been really excited and amped to approach women and try out the recent changes I've made within myself but then work gets in the way and I get frustrated. I just don't know where else to try these things because work is a comfortable environment for me since I already know a lot of people and I do a good job. It would be much harder for me initially to start approaching women in the general public. Do you guys have any advice for me?

What kind of job is this?? It's hard as hell meeting people at work like this.. either you gotta already have some common background to start, or you got to be the guy who's "outgoing, fun, and overall attractive", not the guy "working at being more outgoing, fun, and overall attractive".

I know cuz I'm like that too so I feel ya. My last job was corporate-y.. I'd say don't even try. But my new job is more casual and fun, so a good way is putting yourself in a position to actually work with people you like.. which might involve a lot of 'moving around, new skillsets, new job position.. etc etc' Like if you notice that admin has a lot of interesting people, but you're in tech, try moving (ie: if you're the IT geek, try moving to the, you know.. other department).
