silly shy lame!

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

Ok, this is my situation~ I am interested in this guy...

He works at a store near my house. I go in there often

and we always makes eye contact ~we both smile~

He has somewhat attempted to help me at the

check out, which could be total coincident(you have

to be there). Anyway, I would love to see what

this guy is about. I do have his first name, yet

everytime I am near him I freeze up~ I feel

like Im back in junior high,I feel so lame! I

need some advice ...do I go for it?

Wait and see? What do I say if I do go for it?

I am pretty shy and he seems that way too.

Hope to hear from you soon!

Thanks

strike up a conversation...

#1. ask him how he likes working there.

#2. Inquire about a certain product at the store

#3. ask him any question at all

#4. Ask him a question that has no answer... like "How do blind people know when they are done wiping?"

If you feel shy, try a joke, if you can get him to laugh, most likely you will laugh too. Be subtle though. You may want to see if he has a girlfriend first. You could ask if his "girlfriend' likes him working here or not.

Why be shy and scared if its going to keep you from talking to this guy? So you feel like you get butterflys in your tummy and its kind of fun when you see him. You get these sensations that make you freeze and hold you back! Sorry, but thats no fun. You have to relax. Besides if he is just as shy and scared than it would be a relief for you to say something. Thats if you sense he digs you.

Walk in calm and cool, it will make him even more nervous to see you come in walking your walk. Talk to him like you have known him for a while. Just be like "Wasup dude". If he acts all shy ask him why hes so shy. Its alright to flirt with him. Flirt with him for a while and if he doesnt ask you out, forget about him.

My experience is that 99% of the time, if a guy doesn't do the asking, he's not *that* interested. (Or he has a girlfriend.) Sure, he might think she's cool, and he might even date her for six months or eight months or a year. But it's a different kind of relationship than when he does the initial pursuing. JMO. I've had much better relationships since I stopped chasing guys! Screw 'em if they don't ask me out!

SillyMe,

I don't advocate asking guys out or calling them. I think they do it on their own if they like you enough.

So, I'd advise to do what velvet said. Whenever you go into the store, make sure you look really nice and flirt with him. Before you go there, look in the mirror and say whatever you need to say to build up your confidence (hey, no one is there but you!) and go in there and flirt! Smile a lot. Be sweet and ask his opinion on a product you are buying. Whatever. Anything!

He'll get the picture. And if all goes well, he will ask for your number.

Nothing would make him feel better than for a honey to ask him out while hes at work. He wont have anything on his mind but you. He'll be smiling all day. Go ahead and ask him. Either he says yes or gives you an excuse as to why he will not be able.

Good Luck
