I'm not here to judge as I have close friends who have been involved with a MM or MW but I am curious- did you/do you expect the MM/MW to leave their spouse for you? Did they? If so did your relationship last when you were together without the secrecy? I ask because I have a close friend who is dating a MW and he is agony right now because she keeps saying how terrible life is with her husband (he abuses her mentally) and that she wants to leave him and be with my friend. This has been going on for almost two years. Everytime he tries to leave her she does something to make him stay (gives him hope) I honestly don't think she will ever leave but maybe I am wrong? Anyone have an experience to share?

Hmm, two years is a long time for him to endure this. I think his gal friend needs to make changes such as leaving her husband and recovering from the mental abuse. Now, in the course of those kinds of changes, she may change enough that she no longer relates to your guy friend.

SOOO, my guess is that while he cares about her, maybe he shouldn't have all his eggs in this basket. She's got some work to do on herself and she may in the end not opt for your friend once she's worked through her issues.
