Okay, so I went out on about three dates with this guy about 4 months ago and everything seemed to be going well, until after the last date I just never heard back from him again. So, all of a sudden when I was online today he IMed me and it was just really awkward. I'm not really sure what to think of it and I was going to just ignore him, but I was curious as to what he would say so I didn't. Well here's how the convo went...
him: hey u, long time no talk, how are ya?
me: um, I'm doing great, just enjoying my summer...and you?
him: same, workin like crazy (60+ hours a week) hangin with my old friends from back home
him: well i saw u online and i wanted to say hi, hope all is well, keep in touch alright?
me: yeah sure
him: take care
him: lata

I guess I just don't understand why he would even bother contacting me after 4 months of not talking.

Sounds like he wants you to pursue him. He's playing a game. I don't really understand it myself but I"ve seen it before.
