Depression/self harm

I don't want this to sound as though I am looking for attention or anything but these past few days especially this evening I have let out all my negative feelings to my boyfriend, I am sinking deep into a hole I can't get out of and am thinking such low self esteem about myself and even thinking of self harming myself this evening, not thinking of commiting suicide or anything like that. I think it might be because I have come off the pill which is making my emotions go all over the place. I noticed its only started like this while off the pill. Could I be like this because of the pill?

I don't know how you are, but from your picture you look young...Talk to your parents about this too. You need to go see your family Dr ASAP! If you are thinking of self harming yourself and can feel some depression setting in, please don't be alone tonight.

The Pill can mess with your hormones, which then bring on the feelings you're experiencing now.

The Pill can definitely mess with your hormones. Just realize these feelings aren't about what's going on in your life - they are a chemical side-effect of going off the pill. In essence, you have PMS x 10. Do NOT let the feelings overwhelm you. And yes, see your doctor if they don't straighten out soon.

Self-harming will actually only make things alot worse sweetie.

I have been where you are and hate that I have to wear long sleeves on job interviews etc.

It may very well be a side effect from the pill, the hormones in the pill can cause severe depression in some women. My two sisters cannot take it at all.

Please go and see your doctor, they will be able to explain better to you how the hormones could be causing you to feel like this.

Remember that what you are feeling now is only temporary and will pass with time and treating yourself well, self-harming can have very permanent effects on your life.

Talk to someone face-to-face about this.
