Is there a difference between signing a card "Love ya" and "Love,..."

A friend of mine got a birthday card and felt the "Love ya" is more "friend-like".......and is slightly bothered he didn't sign it "Love, Steve".....

I don't know...seems trivial to me...but is there a difference?
Probably stupid, but to shut her up......

I think it depends on what Steve is all about. He may not be one of those guys who writes, Love Steve. Love ya is affectionate and nice. He wouldn't put it down if he didn't think it could be interpretted a certain way or the wrong way. I mean, if he had put down Luv Steve, then that is more like a brother/sister thing...Cuz luv and Love visually mean two different things. (Unless you're from England, then forget it!)

Tell your friend to look for ACTION more than his words. How does he treat her? What nice things do they do together? Is he affectionate and loving? Those are the things that count, not signing a card a certain way.

Hey, I'm a freckles too In reference to your question - I think there is a difference between writing Love, Steve and Lova ya. Perhaps he doesn't want to rush into saying it on paper just yet

I sign "Love ya" to my husband all the time. It's just my way.
